Then the gap between the skirt and car body gets too large. But a good idea.
Piwoslaw: you are right that having to move the car to get a the valve stems would be a pain! I was thinking of that with
Frank Lee's post, so I think that a hinge is the better idea for now.
So for my only cost has been for the primer

I had the galvanized sheet steel, brackets, hinges, lots of mic screws, I had to re-purpose a metal yard stick for the brace and will have to buy some stock metal for the other side. I also have the paint to match on order.
