Hi,
I watched the first 4 parts out of the 9, but it would not let me watch the 5th part (in my country!), and I was getting depressed and it was bedtime anyway. I'll try to buy the DVD -- I'm pretty sure they sell it on Amazon.
Hydrogen is a Trojan horse! And I am very pessimistic about getting a mass-produced BEV in the USA; until gas is back over $4/gallon or maybe we have to wait until they run out of oil.

Neil-
Sorry about that. I just checked the first couple parts before I posted the link. The 5th one doesn't work, but all of the parts before and after work. The fact that it is blocked because of our country makes me a little suspicious I'm gonna have to go check and see what happened during that part that they would want to block.
But you definitely should go look to get the DVD. Even though the movie is depressing, I never get tired of watching it.

Well George W is pushing the hydrogen, so that should tell you something...
This movie shows you that the people behind the scenes want to be able to sell you something over and over. You would have to keep buying hydrogen, just like you keep buying gas, and with a vehicle that has all those moving parts, they'll keep selling you parts and oil and maintenance. That one mechanic in the movie shows all the filters, oil, belts, catalytic converters, etc. necessary to keep an ICE powered car on the road, and how dirty he was just touching the stuff. Then he talked about when an electric car came in he checked the tires and wiper blades, and that was it.
The last thing the car manufacturers and energy companies want is for you to have an electric car that will last for hundreds of thousands of miles, without using up tons of parts, and a solar array on the roof to keep it charged.

I didn't get to watch it this weekend. However the local library rents movies and I was able to rent this one from them. Good show.

i watched that movie in my autos class. it was sort of ironic because my autos teacher doesnt really care about the earth, but he wanted us to learn about the technology that gm had devlpoed and how the government killed it. i really enjoyed the movie. the thing that sadend me the most was that ford had build electric rangers (they showed a few in the movie easy to miss) but the wound up destroying all of them. i would have like to had a electric ranger.

What was MSRP on the Ranger? I know it was around $40,000 for the RAV.
