There still seems to be old date contestants that should be removed. Sorry, I am sounding like a prickly pain at this point. The two guys directly ahead of me on the top ten list still have 1 year old data. Competition in climbing over living bodies is more fun than pushing up against a corpse. Corpses don't respect the effort. :-| Progress motivates me. :-)
Could you also update the ecomodder.com front side top ten list because there is also lots of old data. Many cars with only one fillup and that is over one year old data.
As it is put on tdi club website. This is not a individual tank competition but month to month competition. So you should put to your log every fillup done. I would say average guy fills at least once a month. So if you havent put fillup data lets say two months after previous data you cannot be in the top ten chart...
And one other thing. anyone can drive few hundred miles very very slow to get mind blowing MPG figures so best tanks figures wont work to solve top drivers. 90 day average is ok if you put data there ca. once a month.
That doesnt give good impression to the new webside lurkers if they see a list top cars and there is only a one fillup done. My suggestion is that you put list to front side where are the top ten of the threee vehicle types. That way people could see the best cars and also seek if they could find they own car from somewhere of the list and see what is possible for their car.
Is there an IRC chat room? If not, can we pick one IRC server we could set up shop on, and create a room called #ecomodder? I tried to post this in the Lounge (twice) and the threads posted, but you can't enter them.
Also reached 100% over EPA. I'd be #9 if it wasn't for that weird Camry at the top. 950% over? Really?
So here are a few problems that have sprung up lately:
The Camry in the post quoted above,
A few cars seem to have extraordinary milage, for example two friends, each with a 1978 Mercedes 240D on veggie oil, one getting around 90mpg, the other 120mpg.
The owner column is empty. This isn't so important, as the owner can be found by clicking on the car, but since there is an owner column...

What matters is where you're going, not how fast.
"... we humans tend to screw up everything that's good enough as it is...or everything that we're attracted to, we love to go and defile it." - Chris Cornell
I don't like the idea of people's (valid) results being thrown out simply because their car is gone or no longer being used.
Their data would still show what's possible with such a car.
I'd rather see the one-fillup cheaters and obvious errors being thrown out.

I think that Ecomodded should make the top 10 list be top 10 active vehicle list. If a car has not added an entry in 90 days it would be dropped from the active list.

You can't just erase what they've achieved with it.
I'd rather see the erronous entries being weeded out.
Thats why I said for it to be a "Top 10 Active vehicle list" if the car is not being used then it will not be on the top 10 list, but it would still be on the full list.
Also it would be nice to have a report a car feature that would allow a logged in user to send a report request for cars that are in the wrong category or that have 2345mi on 1gal of gas ect. To cut down on people just sending reports it could be programed to not send the request till two different people have requested it.
