You know you're an ecomodder when the sound of all of your neighbors engines running in the morning without a single vehicle moving anywhere makes you want to go all terminator on their $%^&* vehicles.
They need to be toilet trained.

my roommate got a 2012 chevy cruze Eco and two things irk me.
#1 It has a remote start and she'll open the garage and start the car and finish getting ready for work and it'll take 5+ minutes every time
#2 She took off the factory air dam because it "hits the curb" when she's driving and "flexes the bumper and is worried the bumper will break"
One of the technicians at her dealership asked her how many mpgs avg the car has dropped and she said 2mpg but she even said she doesn't care.

YKYAEM (and a geek) when -
While watching a re-run of Star Trek TNG (Booby Trap) on TV, you get excited because Captain Picard has to “pulse and glide” the Enterprise out of an asteroid field, then uses an asteroid's gravity to extend the glide even further.
I turned to my wife and said “that's how I drive”.
She just gave me that long suffering look and said "yes dear".

YKYAM when you have to wonder if you can find STTNG on Hulu. And wondering if seeing that is worth the danger of the riot you're going to face getting the kids away from Jesse and How to Train Your Dragon. And how bad the "yes dear" you're going to get will be.

YKYAEM, "if" not listening to the radio as you coast EOC to the light/stop sign is VERY agreeable and not a bit disconcerting. Actually a very pleasing warm feeling in the rear left cheek(if that is where you /like I, keep the wallet).
YKYEM #2 "IF", before cranking the engine:
1. seat belt
2. cell phone on holder
3. valise and stuff where it goes
4. zip or two of coffee/tea, etc...
5. seatbelt fastened
6. glasses on the nose
then motor starts, immediately rolling...

You crank before you roll
At work the parking spots are sloped ever so slightly. I park where the sun can heat up the engine bay before I leave, and it moves (forward) before I crank.
Can't remember when I last used the radio.

You know you're NOT an Ecomodder when you wonder why no one listens to the radio.
Seriously, what's up with the driving in silence??

I have tinnitus, constantly ringing ears. Noise of any kind makes it worse.
I cannot say I suffer from it, as it does not hinder me if I focus on something else.
But it makes it harder to enjoy a conversation, or music.
Strangely, listening to music that you know seems to help somewhat.
For me it does not work out - at least not in the car.
Oh, and leaving it off does reduce fuel consumption
