you bought a second car specifically for ecomodding, but you still ecomod your "good car."
when you need to stop for fuel on the highway, you try to pick a gas station that you can engine-off-coast into.
when you're on a long trip, you time your eating/drinking so you'll need to pee at the same time you need to fuel up. that way, you won't have to stop and start for time for two a pit stops.
on overnight trips, you pack light because you don't want to carry extra weight.
your eyes are so fixated on the beautiful Metro in the oncoming lane that you don't even notice the Porsche riding your tail and flashing its headlights.

I did this! I lost my TI-89 calculator, so I bought a new one. Then, I found the old calculator. So, I ebay'd one of my TI-89s and used the paypal cash for a scangauge.

If you open the door to unload the work truck and a bucket of glue falls and breaks your foot and your first thought is "Now I won't have as good of throttle control!" ...Okay I lied, the first thing I did was curse so loud the old people across the parking lot gave me a dirty look. But after that...I thought about throttle control.

... you get passed by a Saab 9-5 Aero on the highway, and you think, sarcastically, "Aero? Yeah, right."

...if your son's fourth grade teacher asks the class, "Why is it not a good idea to stick your hand out of the car window?", and your son raises his hand and responds, "Because it would hurt your M. P. Gees!"
True story.

Today, while walking home from class, I smiled and gave a thumbs-up to someone driving a Metro. He flicked me off. I suppose he doesn't understand the full potential of his vehicle...

He probably doesn't get (m)any positive comments about the car, and thought you were giving him a sarcastic thumbs-up.
