I just keep new oil and drive easy.
I took a 800 mile round trip on the highway with AC and we get 45MPG
No problems with the car. I will get back into the ecomodding bug here soon. : )

Well someone hit the brakes in front of me before I was able to stop. I smashed my headlight, bend the Radiator Support near the light, bend the fender even more to a crooked mess. and messed up the hood.
(picture is after new lights)

I got a new $25 ebay fender. New $60 headlamps and wires with the clear markers, not bad, throws light much better and I like the look. I also found a $45 badly faded blue junkyard hood, I always had problems with the hood latch on this car and now I have no chance for the normal latch to work. I'll make some hood pins.
I'm not going to paint it. Ill wait for my local junkyard to get a green civic for a proper hood and fender. I have ordered a new radiator support that will arrive in 10-14 days.

I'm thinking if using my old fender and making an upper and lower grill block with it. I think if I do it right it could look nice.

Bummer! I got hit in the rear twice but too soft to do any significant damage. And I tapped a giant SUV in the trail hitch once, but only hard enough to put a mark in the bumper cover. Been kinda lucky.

At least you are going to be back on the road... GEN6 Civic solidarity, brother!

Cutting the fender for some blocking sounds tempting ... how would you keep the paint from getting scraped up badly?

How did it happen? Did you learn anything? (Not trying to be a jerk or trying to add insult to injury... just a former driving instructor here.)

I once bumped a car at walking speeds in a snowy parking lot - the driver ahead of me turned across a lane of cross-traffic and then stopped for no reason (I think he was confused about whether he just made a wrong turn). It was a 100% unexpected stop (still my fault), and I was going too fast for conditions/didn't leave enough following distance. If I'd been going 3 km/h instead of 4 km/h, we wouldn't have touched! No damage, luckily.

I like the idea of re-using that fender for the pre-existing colour matching.

It was a right turn yield, I look left its clear, look right a car is in front of me, look left its clear, I put the car in 1st gear following the car moving in front of me, as soon as I shift into second gear, 10-12mph(?) the car ahead hits the brakes hard I hit the brakes but to late, I think I was trying to look in front of the SUV and I didn't notice before it was to late.

Time to take that money and buy a low gear trans for it. That is an instant 10mpg increase on the interstate.
You could also do a gear swap, but its honestly easier to just swap the whole trans. You don't even have to bleed the clutch hydraulics.

Yes! that is in the plan! One day ill find one in my local junkyard, most of them have been automatic. I have watched a few youtube videos how to change it out. It would be a huge increase in mileage. and worth the $120.

SYMPTOM: The MIL is on with a DTC 20 (electrical load detector), DTC 41 (primary heated oxygen sensor), or DTC 17 (vehicle speed sensor). Fuse 15 in the under-dash fuse box is blown.

PROBABLE CAUSE: The engine wire harness is rubbing on the intake manifold bracket.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: Electrical Tape: 3M P/N 54007-06132
