Yes it would be helpful if the federal government would maintain the almost 60% of the forests they own in California.

"More than 1.1 million acres have burned on federal lands in California this year, compared to 769,032 acres on non-federally managed lands, according to figures collected by the National Interagency Fire Center. ... "

These numbers have increased of course in the past couple weeks since this report was published.

It is actually pathetic when you consider the fact that in the year 2020 we are still talking about carbon build-up in an engine. For that we may as well be driving with a bag of coal in the trunk!

Battery powered cars are just natural gas powered, nuclear and coal powered cars.
The rankine cycle used by nearly all power plants predates the internal combustion engine by a lot. But that's nothing compared to wind and hydro power.
Wind power is like 9th century tech. Water power is roman tech.

California authority from Governor ,Legislature and down are pathetic. Currently no OEM production EV has a range beyond 250miles without ranger extender or non-oem modification ...Rural California citizens will be jacked when 2035 arrives especially farms and construction ....Highly likely border states and Mexico vehicle traffic will violate 2035 ICE Ban ( another unenforced law)/Even with future technologies I see the ICE around for next 50 years easy.

California can not even manage their current perils like wild forest fires even with fire professionals from Texas and other states. California has had wild fires out of control for 30 years plus. You would have though back in 2018 2019 years state and federal authorties (worthless judges) would have realized the need to thin forests and have fire breaks. California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado all have pathetic forest management and therein create random tinder box which either a meth head (Oregon) or fireworks (California) citizens that start the tinder box.

California governor Newsom , Oregon governor Brown and state fire marshall are pathetic and worthless.

402 miles - Model S Long Range
330 miles - Model 3 Long Range
328 miles - Model X Long Range
316 miles - Model Y Long Range AWD

That is today - no doubt the technology will improve in 15 years

As far as I could tell this applied to licensed road vehicles, not off road vehicles. That would be a whole 'nother situation. Imagine an all electric John Deere 8-wheeler.

The model S long range and it's 100kwh battery capacity, 400 miles is very optimistic and impossible in cold conditions. Unless you drive at 50mph.
I suspect severe range anxiety to kick in about 250 to 300 miles.
