Just a little FYI I tried Google searing for this article almost by name and Google couldn't find it.
Bing found them all no problem.
Google gave me some ridiculously biased articles saying how most Americans want to give money to the government to fight climate change.
HA!
WTF???
https://www.google.com/search?q=news...hrome&ie=UTF-8
Google finds it no problem. I don't know what you're up to. (HA!)

By the way, from the same article:
Quote:
On Tuesday, the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication and the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication released a poll that found that 73 percent of Americans said global warming is taking place.
So there should be a significant number of people who acknowledge the climate is changing but are unwilling to do anything to stop it...
They deserve to suffer the consequences. Too bad everybody else would suffer too.

Does it never occur to you that the side who perceives ridiculous bias may actually be the side that suffers most from that? Generated by Koch propaganda? You know money works, right?
Seems YOU need to do away with the crook pipe.

No word on the 120 year and all time lows and snows up north?
Nope bias here.
Seems like he mentioned the cold, no?
Someone's extreme bias is affecting reading skills.

Both record highs and record lows (and record droughts, as Europe is experiencing) drive home the point that the climate is destabilizing.
There were a record number of weather records in 2018... and that is a bad thing.

So no one cares about fixing global warming if they have to pay for it.
In 2008 our government wanted to confiscate $30 to $36 a month just for the first phase of carbon tax. By 2022 that was supposed to explode to around $100 a month for "an average family of 4".
It's all about the money.
See the problem is they believe in global warming but also know allowing the government to fix it is a scam.

Barely mentioning it was -37 doesn't describe the scale, duration of the cold and completely ignores the snow.

Come on man, a substantial part of even the American citizens do want to do something; 32% does want to pay $10 a month or more. It is just your bias that makes that 'no one'.

Then you get nitpicky on how the cold was described, even though it only strengthens the proof of climate destabilization.
Add in the usual insults (believers, scam) and done, another time waster finished.

We had climate destabilization more than 100 years years ago too.

I think it's perfectly ironic how more than half of the people who believe in man made climate change won't pay more than $10 a month to help fix it and at least some of them are unwilling to pay anything.
If those half want to do something they should put up some solar panels.
Or just keep their useful idiot mouths shut when there is a proposal to build over the water wind power or a nuclear power plant.

This year I paid nearly $8,000 and my employer paid $4,000.
It's insane for missing this is the first year since I started paying for health insurance that hasn't gone up more than 10%.

I calculate in about 30 years a family of 4, with 2 working adults one of them will be working a full time job just to cover taxes and health insurance.

Not on this scale, at least not caused by the same levels of carbon influx.

Yes, people should not only talk but also act. Making them pay extra won't help much. Giving them an incentive to do right does. Combining the two to nudge does most, of course.
See Norway. They don't have a local pollution problem and they do earn a lot exploring and winning fossil fuel, yet they do significantly reduce their carbon emissions.

We pay about €3,500 yearly for a family of 4 (kids 11 and 9 years old), several add-ons included. Dental care only partly insured, own risk of €375 per parent yearly on prescriptions, none for kids.
My employer pays none of it. So it is insanely cheap compared to the US.

Then, if a doctor messes up nothing happens. If the damage cannot be corrected they may get a note, or a disciplinary hearing, but seldom a fine. Repeat offences do get acted upon though.
Suing doctors is a waste of time, as even if it gets awarded the payment seldom exceeds process costs.
Basically you have to trust your doctor to do a good job, know what the plan is, and if you don't like it walk away before the operation.

The downside is some people do get treated badly and no compensation.
The upside is that medicare stays affordable, as a doctor's liability insurance is cheap.
I do pay more tax, but I win most of that back here.
