According to Scott Adams, any significant data are false. Were polar bears under or over reported one time or another? Worldwide animal populations includes the subterranean biosphere.

Then how do we know if anything is actually true? A 73% decline that can't be trusted would have to have a huge margin of error.

Sorry for not being more specific. The more-than-70% decline I mentioned is from monitored vertebrate animal life.

"The figures don't lie, but liars do figure".
Ants are animals, and I would be horrified to learn that the current number of them are a mere fraction of how many there used to be.
Mosquitos are animals too, and we're told they are proliferating.

I was making a point, not just picking on you. Most likely it was a subtle point about nuance. Sorry.

I would never try to [hubristically] put myself on the same level as Fuller.

I don't recognize that structural limits to education exist simply because an individual's name is what it is.
For all his contributions, R. B. F. failed to excite the popular imagination, and nobody ever mentions his housing 'solutions' within the context of 'build back better.'
If I lived in a rational universe, the day the first fatality occurred in a Ford Explorer roll-over, a US Marshall would have pad-locked the entire Ford Motor Company, sending it into the dustbin of history, just like happened with the Dymaxion Car.
Perhaps 'cubism' is the second most addictive behavior as breathing 'carbon'.

Good. That's a nonsensical stance.

...and we'd go back to our safe caves.
The rollover controversy was due to severely underinflated tires. People should have been taught to recognize that unusual handling characteristics suggest a tire inflation issue. Perhaps they knew, and just hadn't got around to addressing it.

The issue with the Dymaxion rollover fatality was that is was struck by another vehicle, causing the ejection and death of the Zeppelin-Werke dignitary.
( Rollover death = destroy Fuller's company ).
( Rollover death = give Ford a pass ).
