Why are so many convinced that a small amount of gaseous H2 or Brown's gas is going to make any difference at all? One of the only legitimate studies out there (the NASA one, I believe) demonstrated a slight efficiency gain, around 3%, with large amounts of pre-generated hydrogen, much more than is practical to carry in a vehicle (let's not even entertain generating it on-board).

Entertaining this is simply voodoo.

See HCCI; that's legit.

HCCI is promising, but...

I don't like how much control tech it requires. Half the stuff going on under the hood of my newest car barely makes sense to me now, HCCI seems to be most effective when it's got variable valve timing, variable compression ratio , knock sensors (of course), variable intake temp and variable EGR.

I mean, is there anything left that isn't under constant adjustment? And none of it is the kind of thing I could fix with just a pair of pliers and a screwdriver by the side of the road if it all goes pear-shaped.

My truck isn't advanced by any means, and I like it that way. I understand it.

You seem to imply that you know all there is to know about the subject.

That NASA study was limited in it's scope. Much more recent work in oblique but related research shows that this is not Voodoo.

My 1991 Toyota Hiace 2,4ltr turbo diesel runs 8,8 km per liter diesel with the HHO system on
when running straight diesel I go only 6,2km per liter. I am not in the business of selling systems. I am 78 years old and had this system designed mainly to take care of the soot which was spewing out of the exhaust. (note I said WAS ) If you stand behind my van at idle (with system on) you would not be able to tell it is a diesel.
I have no interest to get into the general discussions about the laws of this and that.
All I go by is.....how much less cost to drive from A to B

Here are the results of an earlier test of highway driving w/hho engaged =8,8km per liter diesel used
same loop on straight diesel = 6,2km perliter used.
My system draws 10amp at idle and appx 30 amps at 2800 rpm (appx 100km/hr.
There is a massive torque gain. No exhaust smell. I am having my alternator rebuilt to reflect the added amps needed.
I read with great interest all the posts, here and elsewhere, all claiming this or that science. All I go by is my fueling volume (and cost) going from A to B.

Question to the members of this forum. Would one of you please read my posts (yes including the unfortunate duplication) and then tell me where this system does NOT work.

My test was conducted on a straight forward basis........like with like..
I drove to a station appx 1km from freeway entrance (my test was principally to find fuel consumption at highway speed) Fuelling was done very slowly to allow foaming to stop and to within 1" of the top..........the with the HHO system engaged a closed loop was driven returning to the same station and the same pump. Odometer reading and refill in the same manner to within that 1" of the top.......then the HHO system shut down the same run was performed. ........returned to the same station same pump and topped up again. The results were noted in the posting 8,8km per liter w/HHO..........6,2km per liter running diesel only. What else do the "experts" want ? As I mentioned my principal interest was to limit the emissions....that already made me happy. The rest is bonus
