First mod is...

Let all my relatives test drive it before I start modding it! Nobody has ever asked to drive my Firefly, but this car has caught a lot of eyeballs.

I think it needs an e-test before I can plate it. I'm aiming for having it on the road for the start of next week. (I require the Flea's superior cargo-carrying capacity on Friday. )

I've got a "short list" of about 20 mods I want to do, just off the top of my head. But since the summer is quickly running out, and I don't have a lot of time to spend on the car, I'm going to start with mods that have a good minimum-time/effort-to-maximum-impact ratios.

I'll start a new thread for mods.

cheapest roadworthy Miata?

I just added up the bills. The grand total for this street-legal, inspected Miata:

>> $934.65 CAD (about $743 USD.)

Not bad!

That's not counting about $5 worth of welding wire, and far too many hours slowly melting said wire into the car's floor. Oh, and an e-test may add ~30 bucks to that.

Good job! I payed 3000 for mine, then had to get new tires, smog, reggo, and do a few minor things which ended up at about 4000. (But I think I got 3300$ more worth of car than you). Hahaha

Yes you may, and I will get one. I've got an MPGuino just waiting for the job.

No doubt about that! Even $900 on the road was too much, given the amount of work I had to put into the floor.
