I have not. But I haven't really worried about it too much. It just underestimates my mpgs slightly on the UG. Fuel used is right on, but it's misses a few miles per tank.

The Torque app does the same thing. It cuts out when I first kill the engine. The speedometer and odometer continue to work when the engine isn't running, which is more important to me.

I hate watching my battery voltage drop when EOCing. It goes from 12.6 to 11.9 after 30 seconds with the headlights and heater off.

Kill switch is installed. So far I have been an ecodriver, now I am officially an eco "modder". Tried it out this evening and it works very well. Way safer than key off/on. Thanks for the help guys.

Relay is ziptied to a cable in the upper left corner. I used spade clips in case I ever want to uninstall the mod.

Red switch is the safety switch. I used an illuminated one so I could glance and see if it was on. The black switch is the kill switch.

Looks good! I would have used an illuminated switch, but I had a regular one in my parts drawer. I may wire an LED in and mount it on the dash someday.

I don't understand why a relay was needed instead of just a momentary switch.

I've got a 4 wire switch that I haven't installed yet on the Acura that simply disconnects the 4-wire harness that goes from the alternator to the ECU. This was the only way I could get the Acura to die without a MIL or killing the instrument cluster. It still runs with the crankshaft position sensor disconnected and throws a MIL.

im guessing the relay is not needed for amperage reasons, but i dont know if i would want the new circuit to have to flow to wherever i mount the switch, and then back, just to run without a relay. relays are cheap though. I will also likely be installing a momentary switch.

I have an 02 Civic, and I’d love to do a kill switch just like this for EOC.

Problem is, I have no clue how to do anything electrical-related, have any tips for not breaking my car? Haha
