Hello everyone. I am writing from the Polish, by the "Google translate" because I know little English. Together with colleagues, build electric car "Jetta VW" a driver for it on the basis of the "ecomodder.com/wiki/index.php/ReVolt.
We want to do, "PCB power 'but does not know its dimensions. We have the files "power1d.Cam cougar, Cougar Power_1d.PcbDoc, Power_1d.SchDoc Cougar, Cougar Power_1d.DXF" but we do not know what program to open it so as not to change the original dimensions. We have a CNC machine but I need to make PCBs relevant files "*. plt"
Please help.

Paul, thanks for the updates. I have the good HASS sensor. Starting last week I have been driving my E-car everyday! over a 100 miles since install of the Cougar! My car has better acceleration, is smoother, and charging times are less with the Cougar.

ASYX, Thank you for your message, I do, however, uC Atmega8 because he has to control several parameters. The program has already written to the controller in Bascom, I only part of the high power.
For now, I can only post on the forum.

mileage update

at 4200 miles now on the controller. Assuming a 35mph average, that's 120 hours. woohoo!

Did a few quick mods to the "bauer-con" this morning. Changed C20 and C21 to 16uf 35v tantalum and added a 1uf 1000v mkp snubber across M- and B-. No more ripple on the gate drive. I did buy a 15v dc dc with the intention of replacing the 12v unit but the pcb didnt want to let it go! The only way i could remove the 12v would be to cut it up with a snips and pull out the pins one at a time. Not something i want to do to a 40 euro part just yet

ludiagsm , as far as i know the lexus inverter runs at 650vdc.

ok did a few more tests on the "emergency shutdown" code I received from Paul. If the throttle is at zero and the lem sees 7 amps or over it shuts down and kills the contactor which is great. BUT. If the throttle is even slightly applied , the igbt fails short circuit and the throttle is brought back to zero , the controller continues to operate and the contactor stays closed.

On a slightly different matter I'd like some opinions on my motor. Prior to an energy show last week I had been running the shunt field at its full rated curent of 4 amps in order to limit max motor rpm to about 2k. I also had the controller battery current limit set at 200amps. On friday I fitted a slightly larger resistor to the shunt supply which reduced the current to about 3.3amps. I opened the controller to full power , selected 3rd and floored it. The battery current hit 420amps , within about 200 yards i was doing 40mph , scared witless and the motor was doing 3k and still pulling. I came off the power , stood on the brakes , abs cut in and my face got real up close and personal with the windscreen!

What i'm trying to find is an ideal middle of the road current to run the shunt field and also understand the relationship between the field currents , armature current , max motor rpm and motor power. Most info on the web about compound motors relates to industrial applications running at fixed voltage.
