Gee, I wonder why you like this:

I like the bobbed platform of the Mini better. Maybe because I've got a small carport?

First Test: 2012 Mini Coupe John Cooper Works
https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2...ks-first-test/
Quote:
An integrated roof spoiler set at the latter half of its contrasting "helmet" directs air down to an active rear spoiler that rises at 50 mph. Both provide 88 pounds of additional downforce while travelling at the Coupe's electronically limited 149 mph top speed. Having all that push to the ground has does have a negative effect, mostly in the form of a slightly higher drag coefficient that's up to 0.35 versus a slipperier 0.33 of the base Cooper hardtop. If you're wondering, no Coupe can be had with a color-matched helmet.

JCW The Differences: F56 JCW vs. Cooper S

*Aerodynamic Drag: Cooper S has a Cd of 0.31, frontal area of 2.09 square meters, for an effective total drag of 0.65 m^2. The JCW has a Cd or 0.34, same 2.09 m^2 frontal area, and a total drag of 0.71 m^2.
Not what I quite expected.

The boxy version of the Mini bests the Peugeot RCZ and the swoopy looking JWC Coupe Mini comes in last.

An interesting mixture of aerodynamic and not:

Just A Car Guy: Have you heard about the Lamborghini Jumpacan? a bare 12-point roll cage shell salvaged, resurrected Lambo, with a Chevy LS motor, and off road tires

Suddently the idea of an LS swap into a Lamborghini Urus makes a lot more sense. Unless a set of custom-built fairings could decrease the detrimental impact of that mod to the Huracán aerodinamically-wise.

The windscreen frame of this cash-transit van and that narrower waistline caught my attention. Not aerodynamic at all, yet still seemingly more aerodynamic than the majority of cash-transit vans in Brazil.

Tesla gets patent for laser beam windshield wipers, pew-pew
Lasers pointed in the direction of the driver, what could go wrong?
https://www.autoblog.com/2021/09/13/...shield-wipers/

Quote:
It's important to note that just because Tesla has the patent doesn't mean it's going to use it. The company also has a patent for electromagnetic wipers. This system would involve an electromagnetic block moving past magnet bars embedded around the windshield to drag a single blade across the full expanse of the windshield, like a giant squeegee.

For its part, Tesla says the wind resistance created by traditional wipers' mechanical components decreases vehicle range. The electromagnetic wiper seems at least a little more realistic than laser beams, but either system would add significant cost and complexity to the car.

The laser is only dangerous when you look at the leading circle of the beam and focus that.
looking at the sides means you are only seeing excited electrons falling back into orbit. Might be bad for pigeons flying above the car.

The Citroën C3 Pluriel, which was made only in Spain. I remember seeing a light-blue one in 2006, privately imported by a Citroën dealer in Florianópolis and featured on some local car shows.
