When you hate watching the coolant temp drop 12 degrees as you DFCO down a hill, but you can't bring yourself to simply glide because it burns more gas.

YKYAEM when you have to drive uneconomically and think "This'll look SO bad on the Fuel log ((("

When you make a trip towing trailer, and your mileage drops down to the EPA rating.

YKYAEM when you stare at compact cars to get a more economical car. The F is wrong with me, 2 years ago i'd look for power instead of economy.

On the other hand, I have 1991 Toyota Celica All-trac/GT-FOUR A as my hobby monster :3

Buut it'd be just cheaper to drive the wagon.

You know your hooked on ecomodding when

You think "new wiper blades to replace the rotting ones in the trunk, or another bottle of "rain x?"

You drift to the middle lane a mile before the exit you need just long enough to let the right lane traffic clear so you can coast "the distance" when you exit

Every flat road near the last mile home is another "Cha-Ching" you would scream out the window at the neighbors, except rolling down the window any more would "kill" this tank full of experimenting.

You know you're an ecomodder if...

...you gain sexual satisfaction from your latest average MPG figures.

You know your an ecomodder when

Youve done the Tiger Woods fist pump at the gas pump after filling up

Youve scratched your head at the gas pump after filling up

Its more important to have a working vacuum gage than a working speedometer

(I have a speedometer on this car?)

You believe theres only three necessary instuments on the dash. The fuel gage, the odometer and the vacuum gage. The rest are optional.

You watch the penguins dive underwater at sea world and think "wow that looks pretty efficient, look how far they coast" then start thinking how can I make the profile of my car look like that?

actually you just need a RPM meter and knowledge of the gearing, so you can calculate the speed @ each gear

My All-trac/Gt-four's speedo quits itself often.

Thankfully (?) I know it drives 60Mph at 3100RPM DD
