Neat. I never really thought about that aspect of driving a big rig. I don't see that much, only because big trucks tend not to be on the roads I frequent.
But I will never understand the drivers of normal vehicles who tailgate extremely closely before passing. C'mon guy! Leave some "runway" ahead of yourself, and get the pass done safer: less time spent in the passing lane, and (critically) better forward vision before the pass (since the field of view isn't filled with the back of my car)!

It is fine. If there is an oncoming car, they will just swerve out of the way.

Ha! Pretty much the first thought I have whenever I get into any new or different vehicle is: "Where's the fuel economy display?"

Eh. Why pay extra for something you know will overestimate and show less data than add-ons?
I have actually seen people insist that the computers are right and tank-to-tank is inaccurate, but also people insisting gas spent idling should not count because it is a null value.

I was disappointed that in my car the factory fuel economy display was was both inaccurate (18% out of so, reading better than reality) but also lagging. As in it would close in on the actual consumption 50% at a time. EG using 10l/100km, I move to a situation where it would use 20l/100km, but it would display (10-15-17.5-19-19.5-19.8-19.9-20) over several seconds. Worse was when I could *feel* the fuel cut and it would continue to show fuel use for up to 10 seconds, halving every time

YKYAEM when your preschool son asks "Dad, why do cars have spoilers? What are they for?"
And you have to really fight with yourself to not go into the details of aerodynamic theory.

You know you're an ecomodder when...
You finally got around to uninstalling the remote-starter kit that came in your car.

I had a similar thought yesterday, when I couldn't remember how long it had been since I changed the oil. Checked my logbook, and: Dec 2016.
It's not even due now!
