Fingie — I had a Squareback with 185-60s on the back. At 45mph in 3rd, it hummed just like J. R. Cash doing the intro to I Walk The Line.

Fuel gauge? Fuel gauge? No, no, no. It's thermostat, trip mpg and odometer.

YMBAEMI... you're out running errands with folks, and you get antsy at a stop, just knowing that the engine is losing heat while they dawdle.

when you keep putting the truck in 6th gear, despite the fact that you are breaking in a new engine and are not supposed to lug it. "but, but, the MPG gauge is crying"!

YES YES YES!
When you are giddy at the arrival of the engine heater cord for your truck. Dodge, in infinite wisdom, installed a nice block heater in all the diesels of my model, and then made the cord a $$$$ option. Wow.

Straight out of the software playbook -- put everything in the build, and charge the customer to enable options a la carte.

I picked up a $10 outside lighting timer off the clearance rack at home depot. It is good for 1875 watts resistive, and is also designed to be out in the weather. One of my peeves about plugging in is how wasteful it is to leave a rig plugged in all night if you don't need it. Just figure out when to start the heat with a little trial and error.
