Gawd, I've been away for so long I forgot what we were talking about...
Jaywalking parking lots is DANGEROUS !
Crossing angles between vehicles when moving cars are on proximity, IS VERY DANGEROUS !
Yes; parallel the parked cars, then cross,
specially when drivers are so in purpose to get that latest, greatest TV or inanimate object that they may be willing to kill over...

YKYAEM if you are more interested in warming up the engine and transmission than the engine and rear tires.

YKYAEM when part of your routine when someone's coming to test drive a car you're selling is letting air out of the tires.

(Might have posted that one before!)

...when it's well below freezing out and you've gotten used to the gentle breeze of cold air from the defrost vents, because you want to keep as much heat as possible in the engine. (I'm intrigued by the silica sock idea...)

...when your car was never as free of clutter as it is now, considering that keeping it clean wasn't as much of a priority for parents or dates before.

Red Devil beat me to this thought, but I wanted to post it anyway:

...when you park facing south* in the hopes that the sun will keep your engine compartment a little warmer.

* north in the Southern Hemisphere, I suppose.
