How many tiers of landlords are there?

I looked at the two pictures of the living room again. I think the lighting was just different. In one picture it looks like they have two loveseats and in another it looks like one loveseat and one couch, but all of them are leather in the same style.

The stuff on the wall is the same, though.

Zillow has used .webps for years, but the site doesn't like that. I didn't realize that I could just rename them and have a .jpg that I can use here.

I realized that the dimensions are in the filename, so I would adjust those and get larger images than they normally showed, but this image is named "b40c47393a80bc013ad5c7c89835f0f5-uncropped_scaled_within_1344_1008.webp."

Uncropped Scaled within 1,344 1,008.

It is 800x533.

I put in different dimensions and just received errors.

All lies in jest. They're reallty nice people, they cut down all the trees and promise to pave all the lanes. The one in front of my little empire of dirt is already a gravel road.

A slumlord is just any property manager that doesn't fix things. They minimize all spending and maintenance on the property and allow it to fall into disrepair. This only works if there is a housing shortage in the area that keeps tenants from going somewhere else or if the tenants can't go somewhere else (bad credit, illegal immigrants, etc)

Ah, I thought it was the value of the property that defined it.

That said, low rent places are treated way worse by tenants than higher rent places, so the motivation to repair a low rent place is low since the tenants will just destroy it.

Also, the tenants in lower rent places don't want you in there fixing things because they don't want you knowing about their drug habit and the fact that they have been ignoring the indoor no smoking rule.

I may [or may not] have to revise my opinion. They just raised the rent. It's now more than what I paid to rent a geodesic dome surrounded by a six foot fence twenty years ago. With room for four vehicles and a motor home.

But... the paving is put off because 'the tractor broke' and the sewerage comes first.

The 2 bedroom apartment I was renting a few years ago was $200 more per month than my 2100 sq/ft 4 bedroom 2.5 bath in mortgage in Vancouver including escrow (taxes/insurance).

At the end of our 18mo lease, they raised rent another $175.

That's a lotta moolah to shell out for no equity, and in return not have to think about maintenance.

... the community hot tub, pool, and fitness center was included though.
