A dog can reach the handle, but unless it can operate the knob or other latching mechanism there is no affordance. Could be different on a self opening door or something that unlatches itself. Babies have the opposite problem: they could open the latch but cant open the door.

In the future, they will look back to the standards of today and think we were savages. Shooting ionizing radiation into someone as a therapy; that will look like bloodletting to them.

We wear dosimeters to track cumulative exposure and have access to the results. The therapists work outside of the treatment vault, and it is sealed by a several ton concrete door (the rest of the vault is thick concrete too). The gun is aimed laterally from the therapists, so they are never even in line with directed radiation.

The "10x background radiation" limit is simply that, the limit they decided was the threshold for safety. It doesn't mean therapists are all receiving the limit. I'd be surprised if they hit even 2x background on average.

While you're in research mode, look up "electron trees".
You seem to have strong feelings about this, do you want to discuss it further?

I keep trying to find another SLP in my preferred dating app. I started chatting with one, but she disappeared.

A programmer also disappeared.

A lady from my hometown (in California) disappeared.

Virtually everyone interesting disappears!

(if they ever match with me in the first place).

I saw an attorney and a lady I recognize from television, but did we match?

No...t yet...

I just saw Jenni, a Rad Tech, so I will let you know if I have the opportunity to ask when she became radicalized.

You've made my point why I feel strongly.

Normal, healthy women disappear when men at our age are still living with mom. In fact, I consider it nearly a disqualifying attribute for a woman to accept a man living with mom at that age... reminds me of the half-joke I made that I wouldn't date a woman who was willing to date an ex-con. Heck, I had a girlfriend who complained that I lived with my parents, at the age of 20, fresh out of prison, while attending college. Didn't matter to her that I did more for them than they did for me at that point. Women want to see a guy doing for themselves.

We don't wait around for stars to align to deliver our ideal mate, who happens to find us ideal in whatever mess we're in; we become the person who deserves the one we desire. That usually entails either good financial means, or performing at a high level in a career... and not living with mom. Women need to visualize living independently, not with their biggest rival.

... and finally, I suggested that career to my friend who is the female version of your personality. Just scraping by and has story after story of calamity, yet is well situated to achieve whatever she wants. Gorgeous, but only occasionally meets deceptive men. Is either clueless or self-sabotaging of attracting men she might like.

A friend once joked "You find me cute? I can't date a woman with such poor judgment."

I referred to strong feelings about side effects of working around radiation.

If I ever have the opportunity I will ask Jenni if she worries about becoming impotent.

I am not funny. Time and again I try and regret it, but giving up on trying to make people laugh sounds depressing. I tried to find advice for making my messages more interesting and all that I came up with was:

At the point in life I might consider joining Tinder. But I don't want to meet people who consider joining Tinder.

Do what I've done, accept your fate. Else find a girl woman who wants to live in an aircrete house with a big garage. I'm sure they're out there.

I know a real pretty one that travelled to Hawaii to build aircrete homes for a while.
