Someone sent me a friend invitation. It turns out that I knew her in Germany [and she does not use her real name]. She is also friends with Dawn, the realtor that didn't do what she said that she would and then someone, presumably with an active agent, bought the house that I wanted.

That is a pretty common experience especially when you are looking for an entry level house that doesn’t need a bunch of work.
When my wife and I were shopping for our first house we missed the 1st house by 6 hours and the 2nd by less than an hour. It turned out OK because the builder of the 2nd house was starting construction on another house that week and agree to build it to our spec but carry the construction loan.

If you don't run away fast, you deserve to.

I deserve to run fast? I don't think that I put in the effort to merit that.
Somehow I missed Dawn sending me a link to a house that allegedly just came back on the market. That is what her MLS site says, but not Zillow, although I keep finding problems with that site. It was a beautiful house, but was clearly manufactured, although I wish that all mobile homes looked like this one. Hopefully it is comparable to site-built homes. Usually those rarely show the exterior, but this had several pictures. It had a low concrete skirt, but was still higher than a site-built home, and I have never seen a site-built home with vents in the foundation.
It has a front porch and stairs in the back, but I wouldn't be surprised if the family put a couch in front of the door. There about six feet between the stairs and the back fence.
Also, the house is a simple rectangle without a garage. I know that you can buy manufactured homes with garages, but usually those are added.
Dawn's friend responded to my review of Dawn on Facebook:
"I don't know what you are talking about! Dawn is great and wonderful! However, I know you! While you are a talented pianist, you are demanding!"
There was a bit more, but I replied that I did not know who she thought that I was, I do not play the piano.

That sounds more like a case of mistaken identity. I was scared that some random woman you used to know was friend requesting you under a different name right after your negative review of a realtor. It sounded crazy enough to flee from.
Now it just sounds like Dawn has a friend who knew someone named Xist (or at least X-something) once and got the two of you confused. That's easy enough to do, and not the start of a horror movie.

Well, no, I go by my real name, Joe Isuzu. Her Facebook account would be comparable to Gonzo from The Muppets, but you knew him by Juan González.
It is entirely possible that my friends and family think that I must be a good speech therapist, while the parents of my clients think "No, he really should have [things not important to my friends and family]."
There was another single at Church. He played the piano. I wondered what he was doing in the Army, he was brilliant, but an intolerable egotist. I do not remember him being demanding, but it would not surprise me.
Huh. Maybe that was it. It seems that people skills are more important to financial stability than logical thinking. Dad had two Master's, but was invariably poor.

People skills are applicable in all industries and professions, where specific skills are only relevant in the fields in which they are relevant. It's also more difficult to teach or to learn.
