I have an UG and SGii for the Mustang, the OBDIIC&C is quite a bit more, and doesn't really show much more than the SG. I'd have to wait for a ~$250 unit, or for ~the price of the SG, I could build one myself- which won't keep the same value as the SG.

I do appreciate the suggestion, but I did look into it before making a decision. I can feel and see lean burn, which seems like the biggest plus to the C&C.

Have you downloaded the crib sheet to show the parameters the OBDIIC&C can display?

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B70...VVaclc1bFAtR2c

The Scangauge and UG are good products but they don't display any IMA data or allow control over the Soc and IMA fan. I have an SG myself I use in normal cars. The Insight is not a normal car

They also don't display extended ECM data or the TCM data if you have a CVT.

If you don't like it we are happy to offer a money back guarantee.
I can guarantee someone else will want it.

A 3D printed case will also shortly be available.

That does look pretty cool. I am hoping MIMA2 will be available in the next 6 months or so, and then it may be of more interest to me.

I have a standard, and will keep it in mind

IMAC&C now costs $55 for the blank pcb and software licence, must have been an old post with $205> :? Ditto the boost device costs $55.00 for the pcb and software.

Parts about $20 for IMAC&C or about $10 for the boost device.

Watching my IMAC&C commute video might give you an idea what it can do.

I get lots of e-mails, hopefully I replied to yours.

You promptly responded, and there was nothing negative about the device or interaction, but you said before shipping it was 55 for the pcb and software, and to have it built in the US is 150. It was late August, early September.

Going to check out the video

I only made it about 7 minutes in...

So I was pretty clear with MIMA, but I think I e-mailed you about the OBDiiC&C- I'm not aware of much with the IMAC&C, although the non plug and play portion puts me off a bit.

Not too much of an update- I installed a manual brake regen switch, which has disappointed me.

One, I am hurting this already bad tank by testing.
Two, the cold mornings are dropping my mpg each day by ~.3.
Three, my roommate drove into the Insight, damaging the front bumper, hood, and destroying the passenger headlamp.

Onto my first comment on the brake regen activator: It only functions when I am in gear, and when regen would normally activate. I can not slowly accelerate and charge the bad boy up, it has to be P&G style. I can not do it while costing- I almost never stay in gear if I am NOT accelerating. And, finally, it will not do it at low speeds. I normally don't end up in gear until >25, to slow down, and I use few gears- this will make me have to switch between gears more to take advantage.

BUT, I have not dismissed it. I am sure I will get use from it, and will find a way to utilize it. It is definitely more so for someone who drives like a more common driver.

Bummer about your room mate.

And: next on the list... coolant heater. Recover a lot of your cold weather efficiency loss.

I never bothered with the brake/regen switch mod.

Question though: what happens if you press the switch while also pressing the accelerator? Wouldn't that give you your "regen while driving"? Or does the car watch for accelerator position to prevent 2-pedal issues.

I made much more use of the gears with my Insight when I *wanted* regen -- downshifted often to ensure enough engine RPM so the generator could pump out lots of current. That means it was the first manual car I owned where I often downshifted (matched revs) through the gears while approaching a stop.
