WTF is wrong with you?

A 2012 Mustang and you want to defile it?

Do you want more mpg or are trying to save money? Buy a Prius.

Pick the right tool for the job. Do you want a fun to drive car, or a high mpg commuter?
Buying a NEW Mustang and then 'ecomodding' it makes no sense.

Poor car.

I understand people going crazy ugly on old cars that they have owned for years, but a NEW muscle car?!? Should have sold it and bought something that worked better for your application than try to adjust the one you have.
Flame away.

surfstar,
interesting closed minded attitidue.....
very similar to a few of the european posters who want me to get rid of my Infiniti Q45 and buy a prius........

Maybe you need to chill out and read the motto of this site. It's got nothing to do with "BUY A PRIUS"!!!!

this is america, he's entitled to do what ever he wants with his car.

The under-tray pan is removable sheets of plastic and zip ties into existing holes, no harm there.

Wheel covers would also be a "no harm there" situation as well.

Sometimes you need to read an entire thread and just get a feel for the direction it's going before shooting your mouth off.

How ignorant and closed minded are you?
Are you stupid? Seriously.

Last I checked, they don't make a Prius in rear wheel drive. Or with a standard. Or with 300+ horsepower.

Do you know of one?
The point of ecomodding, being an ecomodder, is not to BUY a fuel efficient car. The point of this site is to have a car, and to MODIFY IT. What can I do to a Prius? Maybe make it a hair better here or there?

On a Mustang site, I could understand this. Blatant ignorance and stupidity. But here, I am surprised. Why are you on this site?

Do you only drive super fuel efficient cars? That are purpose built for one thing? Clearly you don't understand using a tool for more than one thing.

WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH WOULD THEY PUT THIS STUPID HOOK ON MY HAMMER! I CAN SMASH NAILS IN, AND PULL THEM OUT?! WHY WOULDN'T I JUST BUY ANOTHER TOOL!

And my Mustang was less than most Prii. It's used exactly the way it should be. To drive and have fun in. Having fun doesn't have to mean mindlessly wasting fuel, or only doing a certain thing- some people find fun in personal improvement.

So, in regards to your entire post, piss off and don't bother leaving a message if your criticisms can not, at the very least, be constructive. Maybe reading the thread first would help, too.
(Darin, I apologize for my aggression and frustration, but I have no tolerance for this crap. Everyone has an opinion, but that is not the way to voice it.)

Wow, Surf, how the hell did you wind up here? Not willing to actually step up and, you know, participate, I see. Not gonna represent in the garage, I see.

Why don't you piss and moan at the people who hotrod their Mustangs for more power and speed? They're changing the car far more radically than Ultrarc is.

Why don't you tell me to go drive a Prius instead of a pickup, or Big Dave? We're moving way far away from our vehicles' stated missions, why not gripe at us?

Ultrarc is squeezing great mileage out of a vehicle which, I'd like to point out, Ford was tickled pink to crow about its 30 mpg highway rating. If Ultra can do even better, that isn't a bad thing.

I've never said this before in this forum, but I'm ready to recommend a banning.

Daaaaang

Ultra, you're driving me crazy.

You have nearly 3 times as much power as my truck ever did, and you're getting better mileage than I ever have - I've never cracked the 40s.

Hat's off to you.

And +1 about the exhaust note. A deep muffler makes the loud pedal that much more fun, doesn't it?

I think I could crack 40 mpg easily if I had stock exhaust- It would be MUCH easier to not rip through the gears.

I appreciate the support from everyone.

Damn, and I thought taking a pickup to an autocross was controversial!

Hey, if you really want to see muscle car sacrilege, there's a guy who uses his 1970 Challenger to tow with. And he made the trailer himself from another Challenger. Talk about outraged onlookers! I just think it's awesome.
