do you have any more pictures of the underside of your car? I might have a few ideas how to securely mount your undertray to your chassis, so it is not just hanging there by those clamps and rattling all over the place plays

The underbody has failed. The issue is mounting with the hose clamps. They are not strong enough for the suspension to travel. This is the issue with using one piece for the center and rear. It now shakes and rattles violently past 53 mph, so I go 50 to minimize the disruption when cars pass.

This build will not be in vain. I will continue to use the frame, and use some of the sheet metal. I will make the center portion aluminum, and the sides polycarbonate. This will let me reuse all of my materials, and not need anything new.

So, a 4x4 rear portion. This will make a great base for my diffuser. The center 4x6 will be 1x6 AS, 1.5x6 PC, and 1.5x6 PC, in the frame. I will resume my use of cable ties for this, but will be using a LOT of cable ties.

I have made the leap to LEDs for my taillights- but it is still in progress.
So far:

This is still in progress because I need a taillight pigtail. Since I now know the correct part, my search is now for:

I also finally received my data logger. Since the Mustang is not doing much and has 150-250 miles left (quarter tank), I am going to put it in the Insight for a while. A review will be up shortly- from getting my hands on the product, I am really ecstatic about it, and even more the price- but I don't want to jump to conclusions on it.
Somehow all of my updates at the end of a page, and it never seems to time as a first post- though I seem to have a fairly unpopular build thread lol

These are the night shots of it- some blurry ones are included just to show how bright these things are. It's a good thing for other people I don't often use my brakes

I know I have some underbody shots, I will try to find one.

EDIT:

Not the best shots.

Now have the Mustang going up to have the faulty underbody removed. When rebuild is complete, I should have access to a lift that will work. Not comfortable, but will safely suffice.

The Insight has had two tanks down.
Tank one, on 2014/06/26.
9.701 gallons

694.7 miles.

And reset.

LMPG- 46 MPG @ 84,279 miles.

As one can see, a claimed 76.6 mpg, with an actual number turnout of 71.611 mpg.

-

My next tank was filled 2014/07/14. Claimed 80.8 MPG over 818.5 miles.

9.871 gallons used

LMPG is 46.0 @ 85,097.

Pen and paper makes that 82.91966 mpg.

I doubt it is miss fills, just not calculating as well it should. Even being off, my new best trip to a favorite place turned out like this right after the fill:

And getting home:

And earlier today, I was trying to time it right- but stupid me was paying attention to the road:

In the STi? I would expect it to read lower, like the Mustang does.

Good job UltArc!
Your leds are insane but cool as cool gets!

If you take a month off from workouts, stock up on some HotPockets, Combos, Mountain Dew and such, you could completely change your build-time-line!

Am watching this thread - keep it up!
