Thanks! The blue tape is only to create a smooth transition between the coroplast and the body. Also to protect the paint from the resin.

I'll most likely just plastidip the thing black like all of my other fiberglass pieces.

So you'll be attaching it some way other than the blue tape?

I haven't done much of this kind of stuff yet, but have you considered double-sided trim tape? If it went between your fabricated piece and the paint, that wouldn't hurt the paint would it?

Underneath the bumper, I've got small L brackets that are double sided taped to the bumper with holes and speed nuts in them. I'll mount the bottom half to the L brackets.

I have similar brackets for my front lip

For the top portion, yes, I'll use double sided trim tape so that it will not scratch the paint.

I'll also most like apply a thick layer of plastidip on the bumper to protect from scratching as well

Nice.

That WRB with black accent pattern really works.

Thanks!

Lol, I made the black accent pattern to cover up a mistake that I made when applying the clear plastidip

There isn't a good reason for the Twinkie, and don't call him Shirley.

Besides, it was your idea:

She has not seen it yet.

I made sure to finish the fiberglass first so that I can take it off the car before she came home from work.

I'll design it to make it easily removable.... Until I ran into this!

GrimmSpeed Touch Up Paint World Rally Blue 054002 at RallySportDirect.com

If I color match it, maybe she won't notice
