Yay! Another Subaru owner! What are your planned mods for the car?

Not sure why you can't see my pics? I know new users cannot post pics until they reach a certain amount of posts.

Well, I'm first planning on blocking the front and getting some aero hubcaps. From there I may do an under body tray. I'm a bit of a perfectionist though. So, if I don't think I can make it look good, I'm not sure if I will do it. When I start getting around to it though, I'll definitely be making a build thread. I think I'm going to be doing more air blocking with Lexan though rather than foam and fiberglass. I think that smoky tinted or plastidipped lexan pieces would look pretty sick with the right fitment, and if I do it right I'm going to get them snap clipped into place for easy removal. I'm also planning on getting some of the OEM aftermarket aero parts as well.

Nobody will ever "see" the undertray

I believe the front "grill opening" for the 2014 is relatively flat-ish, so lexan would definitely work.

Im a perfectionist too, hence why I have 3 versions of my grill block!

Have fun with your Subaru!

Re building undertray version 2.0

Mounting the frame of the tray properly to the chassis this time.

Front edge of the tray, bolted up to existing holes in the sub frame. There is barely enough room behind the holes to stick my finger behind them. The bolt simply screws into a speed nut.

Undertray V 2.0 continued

Finished building the "frame" for the underbelly tray.

Materials Used:
aluminum C - channel bars from Lowes/Home depot
#10 machine screws at various lengths
#10 speed nuts
Various washers

For the rear portion, i "cut" out a portion to allow the exhaust pipe to pass through and to allow the belly pan to sit level. This is because otherwise, the exhaust dips about 2cm's lower in the back vs the front.

mounting:

I plan on using 8mm coroplast for the added stiffness.

I'll line the "middle" portion with aluminum flashing

Next up:
building the "frame" for the rear diffuser. Then finish the front underbelly tray/front wheel strakes.

Great work, as always!

How difficult was it to find anchor points?

Have you thought about tuning yet? talk to a tuner about the 40* timing for AVCS.

How did you make those pieces? A pretty novice question, but my experience only goes to masonry, carpentry, and cable ties :/

Not difficult at all! The car has optional under tray from the factory si there are plenty of holes to use as anchor points.

You inspired me to do a better version of mine- may be the highest quality production I have ever made.

Updated my thread, but don't have my sheet yet to get it built.
