If you have ever seen the Toyota Etios and the 1st-gen Dacia Logan, you'd start to enjoy the Swift Dzire.

Canada is getting the Mirage too :D ... 5-speed MPG figures
Perhaps a bit anti-climactic, but the company just announced today that the Canadian version of the car will also be called "Mirage". Priced below $13k.
Of interest to those in the U.S: the Canadian announcement provided MPG figures for both the CVT and the 5-speed transmissions. So we are able to reverse-engineer 5-speed figures for the US, since Mitsu only provided CVT mileage figures when the car was unveiled in New York last month.
5-speed MPG (US) estimates:
34 city / 43 hwy / 38 combined
Compared to the CVT version:
37 city / 44 hwy / 40 combined
This is good news for manual transmission lovers. Why? Because it won't be hard to beat the CVT's mileage performance in city driving, and the highway difference is minimal. (They may even get the same steady speed highway fuel economy, considering the CVT is probably more efficient during the acceleration portion of the highway tests.)
More info: U.S: 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage 5-speed manual mileage/MPG

Well, maybe that cheap single-cylinder engine which probably doesn't develop more than 20hp might fit into a Mirage

Real fun barreling down the highway at 40-60 mph, and one of these five horsepower... things... pulls out in front of you pulling a ton of produce.
Real painful, too, if you don't brake in time.
