Find video of their working prototypes if you disagree with this. That was never a problem with Arcimoto, Rivian, or even Tesla. Aptera remains vapor.

I find their track record both unpromising and promising.

They failed badly last time. Not good. They also seem to have learned something from that failure and are going about getting into production in a totally different way. Good.

I'm not holding my breath, but I am crossing my fingers.

They had "a working prototype" last time too.

Self contradictory statements.

Anything is an all inclusive absolute term .. anything means anything .. even 1 'thing' would exclude the truthful/accurate use of such absolute language .. A working prototype is a thing .. building a mold is a thing , even before it used to make a part for said prototype .. building battery pack is a thing .. building a solar panel is a thing .. building a company is a thing .. etc .. etc.

You are technically correct, the best kind of correct.

I say it's them doing exactly the same thing as last time.

Take people's money, when the investors seem like they are getting ready to jump ship, release a prototype, take more money, file for bankruptcy, done. So we're at step 3 and waiting on step 4.
They're never going to sell anything unless it's at a bankruptcy auction.

It takes a special person to outperform Preston Tucker.

Mark Frohnmayer has a background in computer game development, and grew up with a father in State politics. I think it gave him a 'talent stack' that lead to success.

No idea about these Aptera folk.

I'll stop trash taking them when they offer a production run for sale, more than 100 and sell them in a year. That's setting the bar pretty low.
Scenario 1, repeat of last time, the most likely scenario.
Scenario 2, if they do build any, they'll put the first ones up for sale and they will be so expensive and impractical almost no one will buy them aside from a few eccentric collectors with money to burn, thennnn they'll declare bankruptcy.

Agreed. It would be silly to think he did not bank on trust of investors given Dave's standing as former AG and Governor. He had the funding, and he had connections to make it work.

Never trust a politician or anyone closely connected with one or more?

Unique to Dave, he had a solid measure of bipartisan respect from the community. (Some will disagree, but as a Republican, he would not have been a Trumper.)
