Not I.
In some perfect world, you'd have a tadpole with Arcimoto's tandem seating, Aptera's OEM-grade compund curve solar panels, and Edison2's inwheel suspension. ....and a Dymaxion camper shell.

Not me. Overhyped in this case though. Aptera keeps citing best case scenarios when the real world will fall far short. One only need to look at a typical permanent PV installation production graph over a year to see that the numbers just aren't going to work out much of the time.
I've seen way too many articles saying 'never needs to charge' or some bull**** along those lines. Spend a winter in Oregon while trying to drive an average of 1188 miles per month. In January, I am lucky if my 5kW system produces 100kWh for the month. The panels on the Aptera will produce less than 1/10 of that assuming it is parked with full solar exposure during those hours. 10kWh won't run the heat for 1000 miles.

I see no problem with the solar... At the end of the day it's a really really efficient car that has a tremendous suite of benefits over a traditional EV. The solar is really the icing on the cake. Find another EV that can run 1200 miles on 120kwh of power... There isn't one. Nothing is even close. I wish there was but there isn't.

I just checked, and my 6.6 kW system gets around 210 kWh per month for December and January. This January must have been particularly sunny since I got 277.

The solar is the turd on the cake. What could have been the price without it? We'll never know because those geniuses decided to offer 2 flavors; solar, and more solar. They should also offer 2 colors; red, and more red.
Hard to see why the company is floundering

I see the solar range extender as a cherry on the top. I'm as impressed by the skin radiator.
The basis is the Morelli research that led to the overall shape. And the pontoon fender is more evolved than some others. Solo by Electra Meccanica would fail the 40% offset frontal collision test.
edit: Next thing Youtube shows me:
Will watch as soon as the podacst I'm listening to concludes.

Hmmm idk.
Solar on the roof is like finding a turd at the bottom of the punch bowl. It's a waste of money that barely does anything.
You would be better off saving that money and putting solar on the roof of your house.

I don't believe it adds enough to the cost to be concerned with it in any case. Nice little boost, but just too much ado about relatively nothing. The EV haters are certainly going to have a field day with the rare case of individual that doesn't understand that reality, but honestly, the impact of that will be insignificant against the majority of people who now actually want to drive electric.

Most people don't want to drive electric and I don't blame them.

Consumer reports put interest at EV purchase for new cars at 71% back in July. Not sure what criteria they used for that though. Other surveys seem to suggest lower numbers.
Obviously, one of the biggest issues are cost and range. Aptera has a huge advantage if they can deliver there.
