AFAIK even if the steak is well marbled, it won't lose all its fat. Have you ever eaten an Uruguayan-style parrillada? I'm not sure to which extent it may lose more of its fat content than in those "lean" grills, as the fat droplets will burn once they fall over the red-hot charcoal (or wood) and thus become harder to measure...

When I cook bacon, I use the fat to cook potatoes. No sense wasting it.
You mean grilling bacon? Whenever I did it, I'd save some small amount of fat to fry eggs.

I don't know how important they type of fat is (HDL vs LDL) with regard to hypertension, as it seems to be mostly influenced by genetics, activity level, and overall weight.
Hydrogenated vegetable oils, the so-called "trans fat", are much worse than the animal fats they were meant to replace. But in the end, genetics will play a major role...

Lately I'm fond of sous vide cooking, with a quick sear.

I cook bacon in a pan and use all of the fat. Yesterday I cooked bacon and set it aside, then I made hash browns and eggs sunny side up in the fat. It absorbed almost all of the fat. Today I had BAST (BLT, but bacon, avacado, spinach, tomato) sandwiches with the bacon I cooked yesterday.

If I didn't want to eat animal fat, I wouldn't eat animal meat.

With a 3-motor version, maybe the weight bias wouldn't be much of an issue for occasional off-roading... It could even outperform any random SUV driven by the Karen next door
The three-motor FUV is a new option. The MLM is considered to be a four-motor, one at each wheel hub and the fourth at the pedal/controller.

Now I'm hungry.

I don't enjoy chewing a solid piece of fat, but anyway, it could still eventually be repurposed as a lube for some car parts AFAIK there were some folks who used it as a makeshift alternative to gear oil in rural areas of Latin America.

I used to throw out the fat portion of a can of pork and beans. Grandpa would always tell me how the kids would fight over that. I eat it now.

He'd also say they had hens and eggs, but never ate them because they would sell them for a penny each.

I come from relatively humble means, but never had to fight for my meals. Fortunate in that regard.

Probably it might be similar to the canned feijoadas I often see in Brazilian supermarkets. Never tried the canned ones, yet I used to eat feijoada at some restaurants which had it on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I’ll be at the track with the in-laws. Might be able to convince them to check out the car though.

Wandered down to the Riverfront both Saturday and Sunday. Stopped by the Arcimoto booth Saturday, but already had 2 beers, and it was time to wander back to the track events. Sunday we had even less time at the Riverfront, so 1 beer, do kids activities, and then back to the track events.

Snapped this random photo to prove I was there

Grabbed a sticker since I'm part owner in the company (140 shares) :P

I took the quiet factory tour on Saturday. And plan to go back Tues or Wed for the noisy tour. When I got to the East end of 5th, I was rebuffed by the sheer number of people (being in my car).

Next time I will ride the bike through Alton Baker Park. Where is their booth? North or South shore, above or below the Autzen Stadium foot bridge?

edit:
What did the in-laws think?
