Typically, the incident angle is measured between the line-of-sight and the line normal to the surface, not the surface itself. Snell's Law uses this angle, for instance. Brewster's angle, which is the angle above which light is reflected (and completely polarized) from a surface, is also measured from the normal.

But a drop of water is going to throw any engineering in the glass or any angles completely off, not to mention the shear volume of dirt mixed water when passing a semi. You are talking about enough energy to vaporize probably a cup of water every few seconds. The laser will have to have more power than the drive motors.

Our new You Tube Video on Stealth Trailer Towing (for EV's) just posted today. Phil Knox supplied the drawings and the data for the presentation. We will be posting Part Two of this video tomorrow as I only made it through eleven slides of the twenty slide power point presentation and I like to keep videos at 15 minutes or less. Enjoy.

Thanks for that. It looks like aerohead [aka Phil] is reworking his old Greyhound Bus work.
At 12:46—13:13 there is some wasp-wasting to the wake after it is abaft the bodywork with no sign of a trailer. How does that work?

Hucho presented 2-D schematic representations for square-back,notchback,and fastback wakes. There's a peculiarity of the square-back wake in which the turbulence forms a repeating, cyclic vortex street if you will, resembling tumbling Easter Island Moai, after falling from the moving vehicle. This really shows up at El Mirage Dry Lake, behind squareback racers. The air just has a conniption fit back there. And it extends for hundreds of feet behind, until viscous attrition wears it down to nothing.Pure entropy!

L/H comparison places Cybertruck in Cd 0.274 territory
I went through my archives ferreting out vehicles which fell withing 5% of Cybertruck's Length-to-Height (L/H) ratio of 3.3705.
For the 102 example that I found,I removed mirrors and cooling systems to mimic a BEV and adjusted drag coefficients accordingly.
Vehicle dates ranged from 1935,to 2016.
The vehicle field represented offerings from:
Audi ............................................... Millenia
BMW............................................... NASA
Buick .............................................. Nissan
Cadillac.......................................... .. Opel
Chevrolet......................................... Pontiac
Citroen........................................... . Porsche
Datsun............................................ Elliott G.Reid
Dodge............................................. Renault
Eagle............................................. . SAAB
Ford.............................................. . Saturn
GM................................................ . Schl'o'r
Holden............................................ Scion
Infiniti.......................................... ... Subaru
Jaguar............................................ . Tesla
Lexus............................................. . Toyota
Mazda............................................. Uni-Car
Mercedes-Benz................................. Volanis
Mercury........................................... Volkswagen
Merkur............................................ . Volvo
The 102-car average was L/H=3.365 (within 1%)
The 102-car average drag coefficient = Cd 0.2740
Tesla mirrors add on the order of Cd 0.10.
Mirrors, a little more 'dirty' than on my T-100 Toyota,@ Cd 0.26 would bring Cybertruck in at an even Cd 0.30.
If you 'build' the truck on a calculator, from the top down,or bottom up,circa Cd 0.27 keeps appearing.

[Citation needed] Not Mercedes-Benz?
It's an interesting point. Length/width have any significance?

The attribution for the 1937 Schl'o'wagen has always been Mr.Shl'o'r.I didn't want to confuse anyone.I meant it to be in it's own column, and the only way to separate it to the left is with all the period marks,or something else.
The L/W ratio impact would fall below plan view leading edge radii, body camber, plan taper, and boat-tailng.The L/H is the most important metric as far as aero drag goes, according to Hucho.I've never seen a counterfactual example,so I'll leave it at that.
