Got the upper gap cover repaired and a strap installed to keep the cover from spreading out. I also attached a rubber cord down the middle of the cover to the rear of the trailer which should keep any strong winds from flipping it up from behind. It's gonna be a fun run back home tonight.

24.5-29.5
Bam,glad you and co-pilot got in safe.It was a nasty night for travel.
The numbers reflect the real-world variability of on-road testing (gee, wonder why they have wind tunnels?) but also suggest reward for Hucho's recommended tapered elongation.
From Toyota's reporting,it looks like you would have seen 1-mpg added to all your numbers if with the standard M-5 transmission. And maybe another 4-mpg to them all with the 4-banger instead of the V-6.
It's a very interesting place to be.And it can only get better as things evolve.
Kudos and congrats from the University of Hard Knox!
PS,the Dallas College of Culinary Arts is asking about your fried rice!
PPS,the ease of backing and turning the 1-wheeler makes that of my 2-wheeler seem like a root canal!

Got more road time with the trailer.
Had one round trip out to Somerville without the trailer along the back roads and got indicated mileage ~23mpg out and ~24mpg coming back at a set speed of 60mph. Another round trip out further past Somerville with the trailer along the same route garnered an indicated 27mpg out and an indicated 25mpg coming back at a set speed of 60mph.
Made a run out to Houston with the trailer and got an indicated 26.7mpg out and 24.8mpg coming back (heavy stop and go in downtown Houston) at 65mph.
I am looking to expand the width of the trailer's front end about 3" to better match the width of the truck's rear end. I might try some Foamular on the outside so I don't have to completely rebuild everything or I might just pull it apart and rebuild it the right way which should be pretty easy since it's just a frame and Coroplast.

mpg:with/without
The mpg trend merits much interest.Widening will better match the T-100's tail, which can only improve things.
You already had an oil well drilled into the sky. With the trailer,it looks like you've 'sunk' the shaft into an even 'deeper' and richer formation."Deep Sky-I"
And this synthetic, atmospheric gasoline requires no refining, bulk terminals, pipelines, supertankers, tank batteries, retail distribution network. It flows into your tank every time you drive.
Take that I.G.Farben!

Subscribed. As I follow what you and Christafoo http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...oat-24419.html have done it seems that filling the wake is good but good gap fillers really make it better. I would love to see you get a consistent 30 mpg at 60 mph, a 50% improvement from your original numbers. Nice!

The chassis-only option was still offered; its price was $34.50.
