Update
.
It's been several months now since the tail was installed. Other than having to re-tape, it's doing great and holding up well.
I've had some people question me about the strength of the boat tail since it is only made from thin foam and 1/2" emt. Not to mention being attached with only small bolts and tape.
So, I give them a little demonstration.
I thought some here might like to see it.
It really is surprisingly strong...

Thanks for the update!
I have given that same demonstration to people curious about the Metro & Insight tails.
Any additional plans (mods) for the car?
Now that you've driven with it for this long, I wonder if you're wishing for side "port holes" on the tail. Or have you just adapted?

There's a few things I'd like to do. Belly pan, wheel skirts maybe a nose job.

Yes and no.
Not having a outside passenger mirror does make it a little tougher when changing lanes and backing up on that side. I do however plan on purchasing cameras for both side mirrors and also a backup camera for rear view. I looked into it a while back and should be able build a system for about a $150 or less.

Nice demo, tail looks solid; also like the Shelby Daytona coupe look to it.

The shelby vid would have been better if some redneck came along and shook it lol. Sorry but your 9 second long metro shake down vid had me chuckling, amused and re-watching.
Thanks for the vid and update. Shake shake shake! Shake shake shake! Shake your (metro) booooty!
