Then another look must be taken, and there is another trucklet with a receiver hitch. And it's not so likely the hitch is there for a ghost-trailer...

I found that a tiny tow vehicle makes parking my trailer easier, so maybe that's the reason. Don't take much oomph to back it into the double dog leg parking spot or to pull it back out at less than 5mph.

I'm not so sure about this being the reason, yet it makes sense. Just notice how some airport tugs usually have a quite short wheelbase.
