The only real trouble spot might be the wheel bearings on the trailer, but if they get repacked every spring it should be ok. Worst case scenario, a full set of 4 bearings for a small boat trailer is probably $15

It's not off-topic because there are trailers in the background.

I will say swapping to car tires and synthetic grease will alleviate those issues. Plus I don't go past 65 mph. My last trailer I swapped from 8" trailer tires to 14" wheels with the Michelin Defenders off of my Civic. Blew two brand new 8" tires in 1200 miles and I said "**** that".
For fun when the time comes I think I may swap to 14" re92's or just do some 13" civic tires on the oem wheels. But I think a trailerable cover and REALLY low rolling resistance tires would be sweet for Prius towing.
If you wanna talk about cheap boating man. The 15' aluminum boat I have with the 30 hp Yamaha is a cheap trip! Get some cheap beer, 50:1 walmart no ethanol and walmart oil, maybe use 4.5 gallons of gas to go about 40-50 miles in the boat to go from town to town up the river then come back. Trip ends up being less than $25 for the day. Thats also with a 80 mile round trip of driving.
On the opposite spectrum we have my friend with his wakeboard boat with a 50 gallon gas tank who will fill up at the marina for $225 each time he uses it.

I had a 550cc stand-up jetski and trailer I bought for $500. Only expense I had in the 2 years I really used it was gas and 2-stroke oil. Pulled it with the Prius and mostly used electric mode to get to the lake.
The real expense was losing the trailer and boat to a thief. I'll never let that happen again.

I don't know if I've mentioned the time I was thinking about a boat that would be an M-hull design that consists of two parts — a diving platform/catamaran barge and a jet ski that docks backed into the bow of the barge.

In motion, the jetskis sets up a bow wave that is swallowed by the catamaran hulls. Maybe 8x13ft, that's the Golden Ratio.

Understanding that she almost never had the chance, plus bringing Rich Benoit into the story created a situation much more important than a single Model Three.
Plus which, it's trailering ability isn't necessarily compromised.
edit: Maybe it needs one of these?

If I were frequently needing to haul large things, I would appreciate the utility of a truck-style bed. While my trailer is quite easy to unfold and hook up, it still takes about 5 minutes, and my trailer lights never work, because I think trailer lights were designed by the devil.
Recently I barely hit my shin into a Harbor Freight trailer light and it slightly broke the plastic holding the light to the housing. Somewhere on the highway it blew off entirely.
One day I'll find sturdy LED trailer lights and mount them at a point less susceptible to impact, wire it with speaker wire rather than the garbage Harbor Freight junk, and place it in conduit to keep it from dangling and getting damaged. Only then do I have some small confidence the lights will be reliable.

Don't waste your time with LED trailer lights.
Get regular trailer lights and put LED bulb replacements in them.

Yeah, that's what I've slowly been coming to realize. Probably easier to find sturdy standard lights than sturdy LED ones.
Only reason I insisted on LED is that I just tapped into my Prius wiring rather than install a light controller. Nobody seemed to know if the standard prius harness is the same as the plug-in Prius, and I really hate buying the wrong thing.
