Windows has options.

It also ignores them.

+1 and +1.

I feel like an asshole for asking, but did the one that cost $15 more include an ethernet port? Dude, the least expensive model in the lineup is only there for 2 reasons- to let them advertise "from $XXX" and to make the higher models look good.

My work laptop is 2 months old, cost $1,200 and has no ethernet port. It's no longer a standard feature just as optical and floppy drives, DB-9 serial ports, and other legacy ports aren't on them.

Mom's laptop is a year old and has Ethernet and USB-C, but I believe I reported that it is currently going for $350. It is in that table.

It also has 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD

It doesn't have USB-C! :D

Mom's laptop is currently going for $360 on Amazon. I cannot find anywhere cheaper, but plenty of places charge more! https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Display-...-A515-43-R19L/

Mom's friend is awake and wants her ramp, but she is still in the valley, and still needs surgery to remove the cancer.

I guess that her son will drive her home. I would be more comfortable with real medical transport, but I believe that would cost $13,000!

The doctors say that she collapsed and slipped into a coma because the doctors up here didn't treat her. They prescribed something that fixed that specific problem.

Mom says the doctors up here just sent her friend home to die.

Mom keeps telling me to "Just" pull the 18" wide stump.

I keep telling her that people don't just leave stumps because they are lazy.

Tree stump?

People create stumps because they are lazy. I've done this: Dig out the crown of the root (the part the roots branch out from), really undermine it. Then cut the major roots.

The weight of the tree will lever the stump up above ground level. Slide some props under it.

Wait for the neighbor to come across the lane and ask if he can cut it up for firewood.

My preference is to die at home rather than a hospital. My preference is to die carrying the last child out of a burning building than to die at home. Fortunate are those that go courageously or quickly.

The Internet says the best way to remove a stump is with termites. What could possibly go wrong?!

I have long figured that if I had moments to live I would try to make it to the sidewalk.

People get funny about buying homes where humans died.

Stumps are hard. Sledgehammers are heavy. Mobile homes don't have outlets outside.

It seemed like I found all of the information that I could. I needed to stop reviewing the same stuff and remove the stump.

Then my brother asked me to cut his hair.

I wanted to run to Harbor Freight, but I was running out of daylight, so I spent $100 at Ace for a sledgehammer and a mattock because it was closer. I drove to the lady's house, grabbed my gloves and my shovel, and asked my brother to put on his gloves and bring the rest of the tools.

Wow. I know the dollar has fallen, but I don't think I spent more than $20 or $25 on my mattcok. Of course, that was way back when gas was under $2 a gallon.

But hell, I just got $2k for a camper I spent less than $8k for back in '08. Maybe I should put my mattock on CL for $80. But what I really want to know is why does the forum's spell check think "mattock" is spelled wrong?
