I read the comments sometimes for background info, but don't even know how to add one. Sometimes with the 'interesting' stuff they want me to sign in to prove I'm over 18. I just swear softly under my breath and move on.
They do pretty well proposing new content, but some presenters, like Tim Pool, never show up on the main page.
edit:
I went to check Tim Pool's latest and he talks about Elon Musk's Pravda — something he's advocated for for years. No doggos were abused during the recording:

freebeard- I have fake social media accounts to take advantage of promotional pricing without exposing any real friends to the marketing or revealing any identifying info. If you wanted to dabble with anonymity, you could.

People often ignore data they don't like.
At one point I decided to play candy crush, but did not want it spamming my friends, so I created a fake account. I decided that candy crush was lame, but on rare occasion I still use that account.

If I wanted to dabble in commerce via Internet, I could. Bitcoin comes close to the 'anonymous digital cash' that the original cypherpunk greybeards required, but it's not quite there. Once Al Gore turned the credit card companies loose on Internet, that avenue was closed by the first mover advantage. Bummer.
I don't have illusions about anonymity. Email drafts don't work, game chat rooms don't work. HAM radio, too, it turns out. I just do everything in the clear and try to limit my attack surface. I posted on a different forum back in the 1990s. Now it's just Ecomodder. And a daily round of the news aggregators.
I don't know where Xist finds the time.

More ways out of the box canyon we're stampeding into:

Researchers at KTH have produced a bio-based material that is reported to surpass the strength of all known bio-based materials whether fabricated or natural, including wood and spider silk.
Working with cellulose nanofibre (CNF), the essential building block of wood and other plant life, the researchers report that they have overcome the difficulty in translating the incredible mechanical properties of these nanofibres into larger, lightweight materials for use in airplanes, cars, furniture and other products.
“The bio-based nanocellulose fibres fabricated here are 8 times stiffer and have strengths higher than natural dragline spider silk fibres, generally considered to be the strongest bio-based material,” says corresponding author Daniel Söderberg, researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. “The specific strength is exceeding that of metals, alloys, ceramics and E-glass fibres.”

US solar power generation up 33% year-over-year in Q1
The 33% increase in Q1 2018 generation is more than the 25% year-over-year increase in capacity, suggesting that solar projects are generating more electricity per watt of installed capacity.

people's mind

It is bizarre, though, you can say almost anything and people will revile, insult, and curse at you. "No, I was agreeing with you!"
Posts have 100 - 200 responses, mostly people abusing each other.
What is the point?
Rational discussion rarely changes people's mind. Insults never do, but you showed them!
There was a post on a sister site that said the way to win an argument was to find common ground, agree with them where you can, and then point out the parts where they are absolutely, totally, and unequivocally wrong.
That probably requires skill, or at least practice.

Carl Sagan recommended bringing better information to the discussion.
He also lamented America's lack of critical thinking capability.
(mission accomplished public schools!)
It's one of the best B-movies currently in production.

Somewhere along my twisted journey, some messenger commented that our oxygen actually comes from phytoplankton. The health of the oceans were the premise of the commentary. At some point,I may rediscover the attribution.
I never thought we'd be discussing climate change,so my references are scattered far and wide.

Do we have current pricing information on this technology?
The reason for asking,is that some messengers are reporting that new nuclear may not be competitive in today's energy market.
If so,and if we're talking zero-carbon electricity, would renewables still be on the table?
