I'll have to read through these when I get a chance. As an aside, it seems reasonable that any tax revenue collected to fund a particular program should be used only to serve the purpose of that program, and that any spending outside of that should be illegal. Unused funds need to be refunded back. If new needs arise that need funding, a new fund and tax should be voted on for that purpose. How misusing funds is legal, is beyond my knowledge.

Society usually fills in the gaps that government leaves, and often does so more effectively than a government program can provide. I suspect if SS was voluntary, and some people came to misfortune having opted out, communities would still not allow people to die in the streets.

Voluntarily agreeing to work for someone else does not have to be brutal. Meeting their greed with your own should balance out to an agreement that is mutually beneficial. I've mostly worked for others my adult life, and I'm likely to have a comfortable and financially secure life. Alternatively, the US is among the easiest places to be self-employed. The bankruptcy laws favor taking risk and experimenting. There are many chances for a new beginning here (I'm an ex-con).

I'll also point out that it's folly to think that joy and happiness are linked to financial standing beyond having basic needs met. I'm wealthier today than 10 years ago, but I cannot say I'm happier for it.

Happiness starts to swing over to a flatter curve at about $65,000 per 4.3 capita household in the USA. More and more this requires two people working 50+ hours/ week.

The Moon Cannot Be Stolen

A Zen Master lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening, while he was away, a thief sneaked into the hut only to find there was nothing in it to steal. The Zen Master returned and found him. "You have come a long way to visit me," he told the prowler, "and you should not return empty handed. Please take my clothes as a gift." The thief was bewildered, but he took the clothes and ran away. The Master sat naked, watching the moon. "Poor fellow," he mused, " I wish I could give him this beautiful moon."

Did you hear the latest man made global warming fail?
Goes like this, the melted polar ice water is pushing the ocean floor down, this is how all the polar ice is melting but causing virtually no rise in sea level.

They really think we are completely retarded.

It sounds like your listening to ...And not buying it.

Over 1993–2014, the resulting globally averaged geocentric sea level change is 8% smaller than the barystatic contribution. Over the altimetry domain, the difference is about 5%, and due to this effect, barystatic sea level rise will be underestimated by more than 0.1 mm/yr over 1993–2014.
Something Very Strange Is Happening To The Ocean Floor Thanks To Sea Level Rise

Sounds to me like a misunderestimation.

No I'm not buying the man made global warming thing. Let's see there was climate gate 1 and 2 with 3 in the making, every climate prediction they have made since the mid 1990s has been wrong, the ipcc has admitted they were over estimating the effect CO2 has on the climate by double and there is probably more. And now they are saying that for every bit of sea level rise the ocean floor is deforming by that much, wow that's awfully convenient.

It's not my fault they are at such a loss to explain 20 years of failed dooms day climate change predictions.

Let's say this is correct and isn't just another made-up self serving result like a lot of global warming science.
So if the sea level doesn't rise, then why are we worried about man made climate change again?
The whole thing was that if see levels went up almost all coastal cities where most of the worlds population lived would be displaced.
So they have gone off the deep end or the problem creates its own remedy and there was never anything to worry about.
Either way the end result is the same.
