Good point, and that's what I'm often saying, that it isn't the change that is the problem, it's the rate of change.

The rate of change dictates the rate of stress on all organisms.

While plants and animals cannot accelerate their adaptation consciously, humans can. This is what freebeard suggests when talking about hardening our infrastructure. Hardening infrastructure may be an easier/cheaper solution to the problem. We're pretty good at adapting farming to where it's most suitable too.

Is it just me or do the believers not want to debate the finer points of the ipcc reports?
I get called a stupid denyer because I don't read the reports, so I read the reports. Which only confirms my suspicions that dooms day man made global warming is an over played political fraud.
I get itched at for not having good enough facts, then when I reference specific sections of the report suddenly no one wants to talk.
Obviously everyone needs to read these reports because nothing I have found shuts down the dooms day cult faster than being able to say that's not what the report said, where's it say that? I read it and obviously you haven't, control F doesn't count as reading it.

The last time I had the brains cells to rub together for a long-form text was Satoshi Nakamoto's white paper, and that was 2008.

Curiously, the only real result from the banker bail-out.

Just read a chapter or 2. Yes ipcc reports are dreadfully boring. That's how I know a 16 year old didn't read it for them selves.
That's also why I'm also convinced that few if any twitchy, unstable, off their meds climate cultists have read more than what they can find in a 6 minute control F search. The only advantage the cultists have is I believe they can go for a really long time with out blinking.

Twitter is a blight on humanity. Has it been vetted yet?

Stuff comes and goes off r/The_Donald in a few hours because of the quarantine, but the one earlier today said:
  • 600AD Killing children to control the weather
  • 2019 Killing children to control the weather

This one is about to go away:

That's how you know politicians are actors. AOC didn't even crack a smile at what was clearly hilarious to anyone with a pulse. She stuck to the script and should be congratulated for her ability to suppress human expression while executing her role.

The video begs more questions than it answers though. The woman was a plant from The Right, right? Presumably the tee shirt was made somewhere... would like to hear how that conversation went as she put in the order. Maybe if the tee shirt maker refused to make a shirt saying "save the planet, eat the children" they would be guilty of discrimination against baby eaters.
