PBS just did a program on the ozone hole.We dodged one in the Arctic stratosphere, and the Antarctic ozone hole is predicted to be 'healed' by 2065.
DuPont had promised that,if their FREON could be scientifically linked to ozone destruction, they'd cease production.Shelley and Molina proved causality,Margaret Thatcher convinced the world community to act,and DuPont made good on their promise.
The bummer is that, the HFCs that replaced CFCs are extremely powerful greenhouse gases, and we're in a Montreal Protocol-II scenario, trying to figure how to abandon the HFCs.
The hole isn't doing anything but getting bigger as long as China continues to use R-11 to make Styrofoam.
The HFO compounds that could replace HFCs seem like they can be made into chemical weapons fairly easy. So there's that.

I GOOGLED R-11,and it said that global production ended in 1996.

CPM16

I went to the IPCC website and attempted to track down whatever CPM16 was to no avail. If they wanted to make the site unusable, they succeeded.

Still not CMPI6? Dyslexia? I think the titles are actually AR5 and AR6.

https://www.ipcc.ch/reports/
I think the point of contention is here:
2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories

Okay!
'Coupled Model Intercomparison Project' would have saved me quite a bit of time.Obviously too much to ask for.

CMPI6

Sounds real good!
More inclusive parameters, higher resolution, and quicker results.Archival database.Maybe the volunteers will finally get some sort of stipend. The nutrient availability is a good one,as we cannot presume that an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide automatically equates to increased plant growth and carbon sinking,if the sunlight or shade, temperature, relative humidity, soil moisture, soil microbes, and nutrients aren't available or are not necessarily conducive to plant growth.Something discussed for decades.

The reason we used CFCs is because they were easy to produce.

https://www.refrigerationandaircon.c...still-uses-r11

"The EIA reveals shocking evidence that the use of CFC11 in the polyurethane foam sector in China is the cause of the recently discovered increases in CFC11 in the atmosphere"

Why are you a communist sympathizer?

The name calling reminds me of someone else no longer with us.

Even if aerohead was a communist sympathizer, it's not worthwhile to simply slap a label on and move on.
