heat pump steam supply

I've always wondered why a heat pump couldn't be used to achieve the necessary temperature for steam generation? They're at least 300% efficient, so in theory one should be able to run a steam turbine from a heat pump and have a net gain in electricity, especially if you're already starting with pretty hot temperatures.
Steam turbines operate at up to 720-F, and 1885-psi.
To commute employees to a distant mine, in 25% efficient cars, operate all the heavy diesel and electric-powered equipment to mine fuel, then transport the fuel 1,500-miles on a diesel-powered railroad train, to a fossil-fuel powered power plant, then burn it to make heat, to boil water, to make steam, for a turbo-generator, to make electricity, and transmit it over an electric grid, to run an electric motor, to operate a heat pump compressor, to reject heat, to make steam, for another steam turbine, to make electricity, to wheel onto the same grid, with conversion losses at every step in the process, has a high probability of wasting all of the 400% efficiency of the heat pump, and probably at such a loss as to be economically unfeasible. Otherwise, everyone would already be doing it.
You're fighting the Second Law of Thermodynamics at every step.

That's beautifully verbose.

How's about a[n] hemispherical space with a heat pump at the zenith, solar powered, in a toriodal duct with an annular Coanda nozzle to mix and circulate the air?

Solar evacuated tube collectors for a plywood radiant floor that radiates upward for floor heat and downward for ceiling heat?

I my dreams I'd say, 'Come build me a studio like that'.
I'd be so inspired to think and create, I might never leave it.

That sounds really complicated so just I burn fire wood for heat.

In my dream anyone might say 'Come build me a home/factory/submarine like that'.

Having a semisubmersible houseboat on blocks in the back yard would be good insurance against the coming pole shift catastrophe.

shifting poles

When they become ice free and tropical again, I'd like to see dinosaurs reintroduced.
The 'original' barbecue!
I'll supply Texas mesquite to smoke them with.
Pulled T-Rex sandwiches! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Herky C130 don't seem to care what weather they fly in to gather weather data. Been a bit *****y here on the left coast of late with all the LA Nina induced bomb cyclones pissing on everyone if you havent noticed.

I believe we are just starting to see the effects of that eruption that happened about 11 months ago and it's only going to get worse for another year, year and a half.

Bring it. Rains enough then maybe the water companies will stop complaining. Nope, probably not just allow more building permits.
