Well, yeah, things freeze at 7000+ feet in the winter. No reason to wear a gimp mask though.

It snowed here but it was 1/4" snowflakes about ten feet apart. I don't recall seeing snow that light before.

I've been avoiding that one for some reason. I'll give it a listen.

Been listening to "Fossil Future" content recently. Alex and Bjorn seem to have both arrived at the conclusion that certain movements have to be anti-humanist, because there's no other explanation.

There's still a light amount of snow on all North facing slopes. Don't know how Portland got hit so heavy when my house 5 miles north had the same light dusting as here south of Portland.

Anything about Temple Grandin. https://www.templegrandin.com

Welcome to Temple Grandin's Official Autism Website
At least, no Temple Grandin as the world knows her today - professor, inventor, best-selling author, and rock star in the seemingly divergent fields of animal science and autism education. "I probably would have been a handyman, fixing toilets at some apartment building somewhere," said Grandin. "I can't do algebra. It makes no sense.
Her work on autism set the stage for the Meme Wars of 2016.

Thank you for that meme template. I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet but I know it will be bad.

There's an interesting point in the middle of this:

Harvesting solar energy for our needs does not force the climate.

'does not'

The Earth / atmosphere / Solar constant, as a 'system' doesn't change thermodynamically. While the total energy may transform from one form to another, it's magnitude is fixed.
Whether we actively 'use' the energy or not makes no difference to the system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Using solar energy to supplant fossil-fuel-derived energy 'WOULD' make a difference to the 'system', which is WHY we would do it. And it would have to do with Earth's black-body radiation dynamics.
