No time for gloating. There is a Golem Golden Age to instantiate.
Perhaps we need a dedicated Science News tread, like the Garfield Cartoonist one. Today:
14:02 Hybrid Coral Reefs in Miami
This is sad because they are casting concrete and dumping it in the ocean. Much carbon positive. Wolf Hilbertz died in vain. He showed the way to precipitate reefs directly out of seawater soup.

Hilbertz invented the process for creating structures in seawater in 1976. Scientific work on the topic of mineral accretion was first published by Wolf Hilbertz in the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering in 1979. ... 1979 Electrodeposition of Minerals in Sea Water: Experiments and Applications, in: IEEE Journal on Oceanic Engineering, Vol. OE ...

What's the point? I don't think anyone believes in science anymore nor can you pinpoint what truly is scientific in this world of 99.9999999% misinformation. We are a in a world full of obstinate, stubborn opinions that rule more than anyone actually doing anything scientific. If one side says the sky is purple the other says it's chartreuse. As a species, we prefer to criticize everyone else rather than to try to do something good for others. We are quick to be offended by everyone and everything, even by the very few altruistic actions intended to help us.
I say just forget it. If people want to believe the world is flat, round, parabolic or plaid, just let them, I don't care. As a society we're probably doomed due to our attitudes more than anything. Whether those attitudes will result in everyone dying from natural disasters, nuclear war, or the Earth tilting and everyone sliding off of it is all debatable. But unless we can all agree on something, anything and everything will be an uphill battle.

It's not that people don't believe in science, it's that academic research is corrupted by incentives that often create a bias at best, or outright fabricate evidence at worst.
People are right to be skeptical when doctors highered by tobacco companies release a report on cancer. They are right when climate scientists hired by oil companies report on global warming. What people don't realize is they should also be skeptical when studies can only get funding if they are looking to confirm the sky is falling narrative of global warming, or are forced to incorporate some DIE (Diversity, Inclusion, Equity) nonsense in the proposal.
When people can get hoax papers published in scientific journals because they used the mind-virus jargon, we know we've got a problem.
What if science was funded just to discover something about reality instead of imposing an agenda on it?
Then there's the problem of binary thinking. "Do toothbrushes work"? If I used it once a week, does it work? If I only brush 1 tooth does it work? If I brush twice a day for 2 full minutes does that guarantee I'll never get a cavity? Hardly anything in the world is works/doesn't work. People don't leave room for nuance or deeper understanding.

Man, I liked McDonalds but only because it had convenience and good enough taste and satisfied hunger for cheap (sticking to the dollar menu). Why would I go if it's not cheap? They even programmed me to do my own ordering, so they don't have to hire so many employees to screw up my order (I can screw up my order myself now).

Five nnes is consider conclusive. Who bankrolled the other four orders of magnitude?
According to Shakespeare, 'Truth will out'. An example from the same video:

That's the problem. People can attribute or even make up a motive for everything. As long as people believe in a motive, then their perception is biased. And there's always reason to believe in a motive. Because if you can get people to believe the world is going to explode from driving and ICE, buy a Tesla, they're going to buy a Tesla. If you can get them to believe that driving and ICE is actually good for the planet because it gives plants more CO2, then they'll keep driving and ICE. So who are people going to believe? The one who they don't attribute a motive towards.

Very true. There are also people that unforgivenly criticize even the smallest of inaccuraces, which is kind of the same thing.

The media is simping hard for big pharma.
I trust them absolutely less than "global warming" pushers.
At least the cult of global warming is motivated by money but at least they think their doing the right thing.
The jab industrial complex is motivated by money and doesn't care if you "die suddenly", if they somehow really do believe they are doing "the right thing" well so did the Third Reich.
