Johannesburg, South AfricaCNN —
South Africans were abuzz on Monday following a surprise snowfall in the country’s largest city, Johannesburg — the first in the area in more than a decade.
Snowflakes are rare in Johannesburg, which is located in South Africa’s Gauteng province, with the last reported occurrence in 2012.
Residents who woke up to freezing temperatures posted photos and videos to social media expressing their delight about the weather event.
Sure are getting a lot of snow for the hottest days in 100,000 years. The observation doesn't fit the narrative and I think it's a push to gaslight and induce mass climate hysteria.
“Snow in Gauteng,” one resident posted on TikTok. “I was preparing to go to Europe (but) I have just changed my mind. Our weather is the same,” another commented.
The South African Weather Service confirmed on its Twitter page that “the observation in part of Gauteng is indeed snow.”
The snow and cold front were extended to other regions, including the mountainous areas of Drakensburg, Eastern Cape and in neighboring Lesotho.
Amid the excitement, the weather service warned that the “disruptive snow” could pose possible hazards, including hypothermia, “if care is not taken."
Richard Le Sueur, founder of Snow Report, an organization that forecasts snow patterns across South Africa, said that “due to the cold winter,” he has had “a lot more forecast of snow in South Africa than usual.”
Le Sueur predicts that though the snow in Johannesburg “has passed, highland areas such as Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern and Western Cape that are already receiving lots of snow at the moment will continue to see more.”
South Africa’s Department of Transport urged commuters, especially those in KwaZulu-Natal, to exercise “extra caution” on the roads due to the “heavy snow falls.”

John Kerry finally dragged in front of Congress and grilled about being a climate grifter and hypocrite.

Nice throwback to Adam and Eve. "I didn't want the apple... it was the woman".

Depending on bible version, yes Adam was first opposed to biting said fruit but was eventually convinced. No mention of supposed superior intelligence or other superior powers granted by the fruit being consumed, so possibly either a fraudulent claim or a ruse.

It's way worse than blaming Eve. Adam did the passive/agressive move by telling God that he was responsible for creating the woman, implying that the wrongdoing really originated from God. That's the age-old dichotomy; suggesting God is either responsible for all choices made, or not omniscient and benevolent.
When humanity became conscious of the "knowledge of good and evil", they simultaneously became responsible for their actions. That's not a superpower; that's a curse. Other creatures suffer consequences, but none are responsible for anything.
Every political argument revolves around this. There is no such thing as liberty without responsibility. A faceless, soulless bureaucratic system can assume responsibilities for individuals only by people forfeiting liberty. Authority and responsibility are inseparable. You gain or lose both in equal measure. Best to convey authority to those most motivated to be responsible for the individual, which most basically resides with the individual.

Yeah, but that was just another insidious device to make men into fools.
I ran into the first girl that ever kissed me tonight, in a small town of 10k, at a bluegrass concert in the backyard of someone's house... recalling back, I was in 1st grade, and she was in 2nd. She took the girls bathroom pass and exited, only to return and motion to me to get a bathroom pass, just out of sight of the teacher. Had no idea what that was about, as my routine was to survive classroom lectures, and then fight hordes of enemies at recess. She took me to the drinking fountain, and we both got a sip, and then she kissed me.
I went from knowing exactly how to combat hordes of enemies, to knowing nothing whatsoever in an instant. From that moment forward, I wanted more of that to happen, and the more I obsessed, the less I got.
Eve has the apple, and you'll eat it (if she offers it to you). Then you'll sacrifice yourself for the prospect of more apples.
As JBP says, metaphor can be more real than actual facts, because what you had for breakfast doesn't matter compared to understanding the motivations of humanity. We understand through narrative, facts aside.
Stephanie's appearance tonight was stupendous. I kept the chit-chat short, because I know Adam is an idiot (my middle name), and Eve still has tempting apples.

I'm not sure I believe that. Just like the Moon landing the shadows on the ground don't match.

As Ben Shapiro always says, the facts don't care about your feelings. A phrase I'm inclined towards. But, the opposite is also true; that your feelings don't care about the facts.
This is why narrative has the power to shape behavior regardless of the facts it's based on.

Word salad = cognitive dissonance?
Seriously, her face is lit from the right and the ground shadows show two different times of day.
And a Neolithic string skirt would be more apropos.
