Newborns will see 'end' of half the Earth's glaciers.

PBS NEWS HOUR had a couple of tidbits last night.
* Deadhorse, Alaska recorded 89-F ( 31.6 C ) for a week, breaking it's record of 85 F.
* Juneau, Alaska has now flooded again, something it's experienced every year now, since 2011, due to Mendenhall Glacier meltwater ice-dam lake outbursts.
* Earth has warmed enough now, that models predict 104,000 glaciers ( half of the planet's ) will be gone by 2100.
* So, in one 'lifetime', humans will live to experience the loss of half of all our planets glaciers.
* Presently, 103 glaciers are 'extinct,' since 1770.
* As the snow melts, the darker ice below, exposed to sunlight, absorbs even more sunlight, accelerating warming ,melting, amplifying the process.
* When the ice is melted, the remarkably-darker soil and rock absorb even more sun, adding another amplifying feedback loop to global warming.
The good news is that, you won't have to 'boil' your lobster, it'll come up 'ready to eat.' ( just kidding, there won't be any lobster, or anything else for that matter ).

That didn't last long, now I have to disagree.

Did you learn how to find the obfuscated Khan Academy link?

Khan Academy better or worse than PBS?

Zero Hedge: MSM Absent In Reporting "Dozens Of Night Time Low Temp Records" Across US
Quote:
Climate alarmists and their left-wing corporate media allies, who constantly spread fear and anxiety among an already heavily medicated population, churn out endless streams of climate doom headlines right at the peak of the Northern Hemisphere summer (how convenient). They deliberately ignore the fact that the 2022 Tonga Volcano eruption is contributing to some of the Earth's warming—and they'll conveniently leave out this critical piece of climate news:

"Dozens of night time low temp records have been broken the last 2 mornings. Many folks waking up to temps in the upper 40s and lower 50s this morning," private weather forecaster BAM Weather wrote on X.
...
How did we get through the Medieval Warming Period without air conditioning?

That's precisely why I hope global warming is half as real as they say it is.

Never did, but the 'snippet' in your thread seemed to target lay people, just starting their journey with electromagnetism.

1) Are they another 'front' for the API?
The climatologists and meteorologists take only the time-weighted, daily-averaged data to plug into the annual data set in order to come up with current 'daily' reporting.
BAM Weather might want to go to the official websites and actually 'study' what 'REAL' reporting is all about.
And additionally 'intellectually dishonest' by BAM Weather is, the absence of heat-index, Dew-Point-related ' REAL-FEEL ' temperatures. This is what's killing 1,220 US Citizens a year.
2) As to the Medieval Warm Period, I'll have to check my sources.
3) As to volcanos, I've never seen a global-warming attribution associated with volcanic activity, including super-volcano eruptions, by any scientists, ever.
When mentioned at all, volcanos 'ARE' associated with global 'cooling' because of the billions of metric tons of sulfate particulates which can make it into the stratosphere for years at a time.
Mary Shelly wrote 'Frankenstein' during the 'Year without a Summer', caused by an Icelandic volcanic eruption.
Humankind nearly went extinct a few hundred thousand years ago, when, a volcano went off, in what is now known as the Indonesian Archipelago, and Earth dropped 2-degrees for 2-years, and crops failed nearly planet-wide.

I'm hoping for an Ice Age. It's the only thing that can resolve Europe's political/religious problems.

That's one reason why I'm in new Mexico.

I would, however, be saddened to see all the cathedrals ground to dust.
