If Nature were inhospitable and uncaring we wouldn't be here.
I think we brutalize Nature with wasteful misuse of expensive energy.

How does your [un-cited[ conjecture comport with this? Dropping in at 33:24, but the whole video is interesting -- starting with the 1951 Tom Corbett slide show that presaged Richard C. Hoagland
Class3pt2 Cosmic Grail Revealed - Secrets of Alchemical Symbolism Revelation with Randall Carlson
The four inch black mat resulted from one quarter of the size of the entire surface of Earth burning once.

We're mostly not here, except those handful of rotations around an otherwise unremarkable star. Nature has provided the slimmest conditions for humanity to spend an outsized proportion of energy thinking about our impending doom, and how we might delay that slightly, or make the intervening years a bit more comfortable and entertaining.
From Nature came everything; the good, bad, and the ugly.
I just got back from my first air show, in McMinnville, and the energy expenditure was worth it. F18 on afterburners tearing a hole in the sky was awesome. F15s and F16s too.
An uncaring nature produced beings that care, and now every leaked secret will be leveraged toward our interests.

Did you see the museum? The Ford Tri-motor and the 'Spruce' Goose?
The Howard Hughes dinghy under the wing.

Not this trip. The air show ran through the end of museum hours. I did get to climb into a Chinook helicopter, Sikorsky MH-60T (Coast Guard and Air National Guard), a C130, and poke around several other aircraft. The crew were very eager to answer questions. One of the MH-60T pilots told the story of returning from a mission with only 300 lbs of fuel remaining.

If you can watch an entire video, then you don't have attention deficit disorder. Only for my posts.
Only when you can parse out germane data, specifically of interest to our communications, and present it in a time-efficient manner, will I respond.

That's half a cite, do you have a page number or pull quote?

3) From NATURE, VOL 400, 15 July, 1999:
Earth's 'world forest equivalent' ( wfe ) = 18,801,424.27-square-miles ( of 100-year-old Oak forest carbon dioxide from oxidation ).
4) From the book, 'Too Smart for our own Good,' by Craig Dilworth, pp.311-357, the carbon dioxide emitted annually, from man's combustion of coal, oil, and natural gas, is equivalent to that emitted from combusting 18.4 wfe, or 345,956,206.6-square-miles of oak forest, divided by 196,941,384.7-square-miles/ per Earth's surface area, = 1.7565 - 'Earth' surface areas combusted/ year. One and three-quarters 'planets' 'burned' per year.

Thanks. I hope to find the time to follow that up.
Assume ab argumentum (Argument from authority) the claim is valid. Given the existence of the 4" black mat, would there not be a ~6.8" mat deposited every year?

You're going to have to give me enough reason to even look at the Wiki citation before I take the time.
Your Tucker Carlson Cybertruck video had no useful insights and I lost over 50 minutes of my life looking for some.
I just can't afford it.
