'own fire wood'

I don't see a lot of so called believers collecting and using their own fire wood for heat. Seems like nearly all of them use electricity, natural gas or fuel oil heating.
I say theres lots of reasons to nuke Boston from orbit.

One 'believer' I know uses in-state, Pine beetle-kill wood pellets, in an air-tight, draft-free, blue-flame, auger-fed pellet stove.
Dedicated forced-air, outside combustion air is ducted into the unit, and pre-conditioned within a recuperator heat-exchanger in the exhaust stack.
It has a fairly high thermal efficiency, as wood burners go.
The Pyrex door allows for some nice mood lighting.
The house itself is super-insulated and passive solar.
If it's really wicked cold and cloudy, there's propane backup.
The wood would pose a wildfire fuel threat otherwise.

Is it one of those that has a sheet of air across the glass door so it doesn't get covered with soot?
Compare the [gasifier] rocket stove. Robert Gordon-Murray put this up on Youttube two hours ago:

'soot'
It's oxygen-rich environment doesn't allow soot formation. It looks like a natural gas flame.

That how rocket stoves work, and smokless fire pits, etc. The wood is pyrolized and then the gasses are combusted.

So like there's this supernova thing that happens a about once ever thousands years or so but no no one can figure out where it's coming from.....
"Invisible supernova" hahahahaha.

x-ray / gamma-ray
Neither can penetrate Earth's atmosphere.
Astronauts are fully aware of the health risks posed by space travel, and continue to pursue space travel.
Satellite operators have enough warning of solar storms that they can shutdown the electronics until the 'weather' passes.
The statistical likelihood of some supernova event is so rare that operators are willing to continue operating in space.
'Carrington events' will not effect ground-based infrastructure as happened in the 'original' event.
Typically, only poleward latitudes are affected.
An astronaut in low Earth orbit performing and EVA, struck by a CME, wouldn't feel a thing.

Umm.... No, you cant shut down sattelites or disconnect them. You can go standby but some residual comm, power and stationkeeping has to remain online. If you can't talk to it you cant restart it, there has to be heaters running, power generation and sometimes limited computer control functioning onboard.
They are also designed to be hit by these events and survive, but sometimes do fail afterwards when all the backup systems fail.
I just don't see netflix saying to their customers: "sorry, there's a space abberation preventing you from watching Bob tonight

'can't'
I'm just going by what JPL reports.

Know for a fact that there's a bunch of incompetence at JPL anymore, particularly in management.

incompetence
I'd have no way to know, one way or another.
A flare or CME gives satellite operators a couple days warning to pro-actively power-down in advance of dielectric charges bombarding their circuits.
Same for power grids and pipeline operators.
'Carrington events' would now be more of a nuisance than a calamity.
