Just filled up today and got 31.6mpg! New record!!! The total on the tank was 324 miles but I still had an 1/8th of a tank left. According to the on-board computer, I could have gone another 55 miles but I didn't want to chance it. If I did, that would have been nearly 380 miles to the tank, 100+ miles more than what I used to get!
It's not great like a lot of you guys are getting, but I'm getting there!

Great Job! I want as many drivetrains as possible on Ecomodder so that we can compare notes. It will be neat to discover the MPG "roof" of the Cube.

I made a quick trip to Mason City tonight. Filled up the car while there and then came home. On the trip up had a 15mph tail wind and averaged 86mpg, on the return trip I only got 80.7 with a 15 quartering wind. Wanted to hurry home because of some very nasty storms in the area producing tornado warnings. Hate head, quartering, and side winds.

am still learning how to get them. I have only been driving the slug for about 3 weeks. Maybe someday will be complaining about only getting 80s more often.

Today was a bad FE day. It's chilly for June (64°F now) and windy. Plus, my driving wasn't the best. 35mi, 67mpg for the day. It's a reminder that October is just over three months away, when 67mpg will be a good day.
The good news is that my tank average is still sitting at 73mpg. It looks like this will be my first 70+mpg tank.

Just got home from work, ran 148 miles with an average of 84.3 mpg, been bouncing mid and upper 70's for the last couple of fills, Maybe I will get my first 80+ mpg tank, (crossed fingers, toes, and maybe even eyes when at stoplights.)
Just came back from fixing a couple of computers, drove another 72 miles and my mileage dropped to 84.1. Had some really helpful people on the trip, twice on the way up was passed by pickups with bellowing mufflers only to have them stop 1/2 mile up to make a left turn which brought me all the way down to 0 because of oncoming traffic, and then had it happen once again on the trip back home. Am beginning to hate these young kids having to show off their big motors. I just stopped behind them tooted the horn and gave a big grin and waved. If they could have read my mind they would have tried to hide. I just wish I could have had the gas they wasted to pass me, could go another 10-15 miles.

Thank you!
I just gassed up again last night before coming home. This last tank I averaged 31.2mpg, so it dropped 0.4mpg from the last one. Today I checked my tire pressures which I had bumped up to 50psi a couple weeks back. Today they were all down to around 47psi, so I bumped them back up, only this time I took them all slightly pass the max sidewall of 51. I now have the fronts at 56psi and the rears at 53psi.

Happy Birthday, America. A gift for you: . I drove 55mph, which resulted in a new personal best, and my first triple-digit figure.
