while i agree with the "sitting idle, on top of tanks" part being dangerous, there is little danger of mobile phone usage (unless you guys have some seriously messed up phones over there), people just blame them when they don't understand that sliding your but on the seat builds up static and that not touching the door on the way out of the car can cause a discharge by the gas cap. that's why you rarely see that situation (fires at the gas pumps) with older people.

Normally I'd put this in the Annoyance thread, since everyone celebrates my b-day when I couldn't care less.
But it's a smile today, since I bought a small bag of mini-donuts. All for me

Happy (slightly late) birthday!

I agree. The point was she is DRIVING and should be paying attention to that, not on the BL@@DY phone, and blocking the entrance to the station. Its like she can't work out she can fill up both sides so everyone should wait.

My answer was two words, one was "off".

The thing I forgot to add is she is a teacher at my son's school. Should be interesting...

Smile 1 - 68.7 MPG average round trip to Renfrew from Embra this morning.

Smile 2 - Had a test of the boss's Auris Hybrid - got an eco driving rating of "Excellent" from the on-board computer. "I've never had excellent" he said.

A whole 800 meters of EO(ff)C, all the way to a red light
It's the only place in the city that I can EOC, but usually traffic doesn't allow more than 300-500m, if at all.

trans repair for my energizer bunny is progressing well.

its full of oil on the work bench watching for leaks for 5 days now and its all good no drips at all.

next is the agonizing manner of how wacko tight it is getting it back in the trooper.

for your general amusement
IsuzuPup.com • View topic - strange trans issue, must pull it.......

Ah, it seems you don't know the easy trick of replacing a transmission:

1) Unbolt body from frame.
2) Lift off body.

Everything is now easily accessible :-)

ha ha yea if the bolts where not so rusty, the trop was not all ways in OR, first two years of its life where in salt country
and i had a way of lifting that body yea that would be the way to go.
the i beam on the roof of the shop is only good for 1/2 ton the body is more than that
