Difficulties in connecting the LCD to the arduino mega to MPGuino
I'm having trouble connecting the LCD to the arduino mega perhaps use different pins, do not appear any text, just light a line, I believe that the reason and exchanged some connection, and do not know how to solve.
As MPGuino not uses the library LiquidCrystal, I can not change the code MPGuino the pins.
Someone can tell me what are the pins that I use the arduino mega.
Sorry for my english.
Thank you
José Rodrigues

Does your arduino mega work with other sketches that use the library LiquidCrystal?

Thanks t vago
Already operates the LCD was my mistake when soldered wires, forgot to count the pin 0, getting all the wires to pin 1 side, problem solved.
Now I have another problem, the MPGuino gets stuck on the contrast page. Pressing the buttons gives no response. What is the reason.
I am using the version of "mluckham" (MPGuino082metric.zip)
Sorry for my Inglês.
Thank you
José Rodrigues

Also check that your buttons are connected to port c correctly, and that your arduino mega uses the same hardware configuration settings as with the atmega 168/328.
Also, try to correctly spell my name.

Thanks t vago
Ports are correct, I tried with all analog ports and it did not work, I have not connected the wires to the injector and vss, do not know if this is the reason for standing still waiting for some sign. I have not had time to connect to the car, but then you can already shot the doubts.
As for the name I apologize it was carelessness.
Thank you

Can you post the setup procedure? You could also try versio .86, which also had metric functionality.

The connection is this.
The version 0.86 of MPGuino, tried to do the update with the Arduino IDE but the LCD does not show any information, installed Eclipse to do the update but it is the same, and only happens with v0.86 if you use the v0.75, v0.82 metric and the latest version of the OBDuino works, do not know what the problem is.
Thank you for your patience.

So, you are saying that the older versions of the MPGuino code work? That it's only the v0.86 code that does not work? I want to make sure that I understand you correctly. Also, I am not completely sure that the MPGuino code was tested to work with an AtMega2560, as in your Arduino Mega board. I am using a AtMega328 based JellyBeanDriver board.

That's right, I have not put in the car, but turning on the computer trough USB is what happens.
I bought the Arduino Mega because it wanted to use the OBDuino only after I saw that my ECU has OBDII, now I have to adapt to MPGuino.
Thank you

It is possible to confirm whether someone gives to scroll through the menus in MPGuino without having connected the wires of the injector and VSS, thus removing his doubts before placing it in the car.
Thank you
